fricking Jordan putting JT in no mans land on 3, then misses a makable par putt. Scheffler does the same exact thing on 2.

Jeebus. Why the F do you play JT/Spieth and a hungover Harman? And a pathetic Scheffler?

This is worse than an embarrassment at this point.

The US Team has quit.

Euros went 3 up thru 3 in the first 2 matches. How embarrassing is that?

JT about to take an unplayable after Jordan's drive on 6, I think.

ETA: Nope. JT tried to hack it out and didn't. Jesus

I don’t know what’s more entertaining. Spieth spraying it all over the course, or Scheffler unable to make a single putt.

Good questions for Captain Johnson. Maybe he has been effected by all the "health issues".

Just a reminder, we need a half point today to even play the singles tomorrow.

Even if the Euros clinched today, they would still play the singles tomorrow.

Only good thing about this is that Zach Johnson will go down as the worst captain in Ryder Cup history.

I just realized on course commentator Smylie Kaufman isn’t following Spieth and Thomas today. I guess he couldn’t stand witnessing his good friend Justin Spieth butchering the course for two days in a row.

Yes, definitely agree with that.

I wonder if Hal Sutton is watching this debacle. Sutton sure took a lot of abuse for his RC loss. It hurt him quite a bit. At least his team had some fight in them. I don't recall any 9 and 7 losses in that RC, but I could be wrong.

Koepka and Scheffler should be well rested for this afternoon. They only had to play 11 holes this morning, and they didn’t even have to stress over a putt on 11.

What are Spieth and JT on their ball?

ETA: They’re -1

From Jamie Weir’s twitter/X account:
quote:

Understand from several sources that the US team room is fractured, a split led predominantly by Patrick Cantlay. Cantlay believes players should be paid to participate in the Ryder Cup, and is demonstrating his frustration at not being paid by refusing to wear a team cap.

There's reports about Cantlay being quite vocal about not being paid and causing friction in the US locker room.

If it's that big an issue just don't play.

Nonetheless, this is glorious and disappointing at the same time. Record win would be great, but. I thing to play for on Sunday is a shame.

Yes more from Jamie Weir: On Cantlay
quote:

He wore a cap at last year's Presidents Cup, for which players ARE paid. Cantlay also refused to attend the gala dinner earlier in the week and, along with close friend Xander Schauffele, is sitting is a separate area of the team dressing room.
quote:

Before the Ryder Cup it was widely reported that the same pair were the ones refusing to allow Netflix cameras access to the team room.
