I met friends in Las Vegas for Iowa State/UNLV and flying from Vegas to the Ryder Cup Wednesday. I've got you topped.

Yeah this course is set up for bombers unlike Paris which was a short hitter course.

Bryson, DJ and Finau should crush it this week.

Europeans like Rory, Hovland and Casey who play well on US courses should also be in every match. Rahm is an obvious

Pete Dye track

Finau, Holvand, Cantlay all play great in similar Dye courses

European team coming out for practice in green and yellow jackets wearing cheeseheads that they threw into the crowd

Total pandering, but I like it.

Weather is nasty up this way today and will be tomorrow as well. Friday questionable. I've made fun of people watching PGA events in golf shoes, but that may be me on Friday.

I had to google what those are. My golf shoes are waterproof so they'd be pulling double duty for me.

Who picked a European style links course, to host a Ryder Cup on American soil? Stupid decision that will probably end up biting them in their arse.

Americans have a pretty good record on links courses.

I am more amped for this Ryder Cup than I have been in a while. I don’t really know why because a few players I wanted didn’t get picked and patriotism is at an all time low. I’m still excited.

Calling Whistling a European Style Links is a little bit of a stretch.

Good beer but overrated in my opinion. If there's new Glarus I'm getting the raspberry tart.

That first matchup tomorrow, holy shite. That will set the tone for sure.

Garcia/Rahm v. Spieth/Thomas
Spanish teams are always tough, but Spieth and Thomas have a better relationship and have emerged as leaders of this year’s team. Toss up with the potential for a full American point.

Casey/Hovland v. DJ/Morikawa
Must win for the US. Hopefully it won’t be close and is finished out by hole 15, so Collin and DJ can get some rest before the afternoon matches.

Westwood/Fitzpatrick v. Koepka/Berger
High hopes for Team Seminole, but these are the type of matches the Euros thrive in and start building a Day 1 lead.

McIlroy/Poulter v. Cantlay/Schaufele
The experienced Limey veterans against the young, super talented next generation of Americans.
Poulter is a washed up, old has-been, that never was close to great. However, he has put together several really good rounds this year in big tournaments.
This match will be a good early indicator of how the rest of the weekend will unfold.

Great call by Stricker taking Bryson out of the foursome lineup. His partners would kill him for some of the places he hits the ball. Conversely, he’s a must in 4 ball as he can just mash away and try to go as low as possible.

Yeah I'm sure Scheffler or Finau wouldn't mind PW in the 1 inch rough...

On paper Americans should easily win the last 3 matches. The first one is a toss up. Of course none of that matters in the most retarded format in all of sports. Afternoon fourball should be awesome.

Being a pro golfer walking to the 1st tee at a Ryder Cup must be surreal. Nothing quite like it in the sport.
