Wokeness has always been a revolution by elites aimed downward. Too bad millions of dumbfricks don’t realize it.

it is fake outrage from attention whore culture, the players didnt know anything about it until woke idiots from the student newspaper brought up an old story to latch onto the BLM movement

you have to make a stand at some point

You're right. If Sark unites that locker room he'll be a hero but I'm betting he's got a huge mountain to climb. I've never met a longhorn who didn't stare down his nose at every non longhorn around when the topic became football. They can stay mired in this shite forever as far as I'm concerned. Better for LSU to go in and pick off more top talent. Austin is a woke cesspool. Used to be a great city with a great music scene and they even screwed that up. Fug em.

EDIT: keep this in the news and on message boards, Twitter, etc for as long as possible. They're trying to bury the thing by deleting posts about it and making people zip their mouths hoping it goes away. I'm gonna do my part and tweet, comment and post every time I see anything about it. I might even join their message boards to stir shite up and be an A-1 troll. Stir the pot people!

Why do the boosters give a frick? It's a song, I dont care if LSU players stay for the alma mater or not. It seems like some old geezers are mad that every demand is not being met.

Agreed, I' don't know what's the obsession with people desiring power and wanting to be in control of everything. Allow people to have personal choice and do as they please imo
If someone wants to wear a mask, let them. If someone doesn't want to, let them. If someone wants to stand for the anthem. If someone doesn't want to, let them.

If the rest of this country developed this mindset we would have a lot less issues here.

The true issue is the young people coming up have been coddled, fed lies, and have no idea how the real world works.

They live in their social bubble, and think the blue check marks on Twitter actually are the leaders they should listen to.

In reality, they think life should be fair, life should be easy, and anything they don’t like shouldn’t happen.

Grow the frick up and man up. Welcome to the real world. Life is fricking hard. Not everything is fair. Deal with it and stop being pussies.

Exactly. If you are busy feeling like a victim you are less likely to raise your kids, work a meaningful job, get a useful education, provide uplifting assistance to your community, etc.

I’m not usually on the side of the majority of the OT... but this probably stupid... my cousin played for UT (01-04) he still sings it before and after Texas games he watching on TV... I think that’s nuts ... him being from Louisiana... this probably a non issue seeing as numerous Texas rappers have referenced the song showing pride in their state

I mean they seriously don’t give a shite about these kids unless they are playing very well for their university.

FIFY, and I don’t see why it should be different. We value them for entertainment purposes, if they aren’t entertaining then they are just one of millions of other college students that we don’t give a frick about.

This is still the US, they do not have to do what these rich white folks say, I which every black foot ball player would put their name in the portal and transfer to another university and you want to wager how many games Texas would win and how many folks will attend football games after the team goes zero wins with 6 losses by mid season.

They’ll say they don’t care .., people talking about traditions... but relying on the players to fill the stadium...

Me too. The quicker we can end the pampering and special treatment provided to these entitled pricks, the better.

Gone will be world class education, facilities, nutrition specialists, housing, money, and opportunity.

And I can’t wait.

You greatly overvalue the importance of sports in people’s lives.

After a rough day dealing with the incessant wokeness just drop a bottle of fine bourbon off at the HC office Insta coaching search for texa$$. I'll buy the bottle, we have anyone nearby?

I agree, but to say that the players don't have power is ludacris. The donors have the right to choose to not donate and the the players (current and future) have a choice to play elsewhere. Enough shitty classes with 3* kids, while the elite black talent continues to go elsewhere will have some donors that care about football willing to change their minds. Some may not ever care and still want the song played no matter how bad Texas is getting skull fricked up and down the field and that's ok, but those that do may say eff it and cave
