So an alcoholic would be allowed to be a bartender?
Why would a sports gambling addict, be allowed to play sports?

It’s an addiction and I feel for the guy if he truly has one, but that doesn’t exclude him from the consequences of his actions.

You all are thinking way too hard about all of this.

There has never been an athlete in any kind of reputable sports league that hasn’t been severely punished for gambling on said league, let alone his own team.

It is literally that simple. Not sure how the powers that be in Vegas have not already had this issue squashed

Never have I seen an athlete more deserving of NIL than Sorsby deserving a DraftKings sponsorship

A. It's all made up to gain public sympathy

B. Even if it wasn't, you're right, it doesn't exclude him from consequences. Pedophiles are addicted to raping kids, too.

Everyone is fully aware that they all know this is bullshite, and that they are playing up the "addiction" angle to get sympathy, and that he will be "recovered" by week 3 of the season, right?

They need to hire a new PR person, because they suck at it something awful. I guess there's no defense for destroying a sport just so a mediocre QB can help you out.

I’m happy sorsby is getting help if needs it.

That being said, he cannot play again. He compromises the integrity of every single snap he plays.

So, you knowingly and willingly signed a guy and paid him a frickton of money knowing he was an addict??

Such bullshite. I’m sick and tired of these calculated statements and apologies that don’t do shite except try to save face publicly. Just fricking tell the truth…

‘We signed the guy, knowing he had issues and thought we’d get through it without it blowing up in our faces. But it blew up in our faces so here we are. We are going to do whatever it takes to get this guy on the field asap so we can get back to winning football games’

^^ that’s what he should have said. Not this generic coach speak BS

And he didn't realize he needed to get help and go to rehab until 15 minutes before the story about his gambling was about to be reported.
