otherwise it will just be the Top 5 programs competing for the Natty every year.

The "top 5" has slight movement, but this has basically been CFB since forever

Lots of people here. 99% of media, our brilliant Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court didn't say it would be "great for the sport"

It just said the NCAA rules were illegal...unanimously

UT has hundreds of them. 40m is piggy bank money

Empowered by the state constitution. I doubt they use the surface money from the fund for this (UT system gets 2/3 of annual surface money while A&M’s system gets 1/3), and I also doubt constitution would ever be amended. It would be interesting if it could be amended. There are a lot of schools with alumni voters that would want a piece of that fund if using it on athletes triggered any kind of push for reform.

On NIL?? What was the case name for this unanimous NIL ruling by the Supreme Court?

Lol and?
Side note: Judkins was arguably the best RB in the country and was paid enough by OSU to pull him away from a preseason title contender who also was going all in on a natty run.

Do you really think Ole Miss is worth shite! Get real! And don't tell me about their great Duke Mayonnaise Bowl win either.

I'm not saying we aren't spending more than anyone else. I'm not saying we aren't spending a "record" amount.

I will say Kirk Bohls is an assclown who pulled that $35-40 million number out of his arse. He does this shite every summer where he tries to stir shite up with 1/4 truths to get people to post his articles.

Which was pretty ridiculous seeing as the NCAA is a private organization and the athletes aren’t employees.

The Supreme Court has been wrong before. A lot of times actually.

I mean it's a fact that Ole Miss posters have stated. They said Judkins thought he was worth more than he was and OSU gave him less and he couldn't go back to Ole Miss

Ohio State would have paid him what was necessary but it ended up being less than Ole Miss offered

The NCAA is going to need a salary cap in 5 years. Only way to keep the sport competitive, otherwise it will just be the Top 5 programs competing for the Natty every year.

Was it really much different before NIL?

Worked for Ohio State

Most of Ohio State's money was to keep what they already had. They brought in 4 key players. The rest was so they didn't leave.

Who cares… I love nachos.
But do you love $20 nachos? Because that's what you're going to be paying at the stadium.
