They were behind the line

It was a lateral from the lineman and then a pass. Both behind the line of scrimmage. Sheesh.

That game already has me stressed and I haven’t watched us yet. Not good

Now that it’s over…No offense to TCU, but how the frick are they in the CFP final in year one under Dykes. Is college football that bad now with the transfer portal?
Crazy that a team with limited blue chips can March to a 13-1 record.

Kind of like how they didn't call an obvious targeting against UGA in the SECCG because they didn't want the guy to miss the first half of the semi-final.
Georgia better be careful today because the pac 12 refs go overboard on targeting calls.

Or was it behind the LOS and a forward pass?
I don’t believe that rule stays intact if anyone but the QB starts with it.

There is no such thing.

I’m pretty sure in college targeting doesn’t have to be helmet to helmet. He lowered his head and hit dude in the back the neck when his buddy already made the tackle. Wtf is wrong with these guys. Officials again just making shite up as they go and no one can do anything about it.

It was a forward lateral. The play is dead before the targeting
The play isn’t blown dead on an illegal forward pass. They let it play out. If they call targeting and an illegal forward pass then the penalties offset and they replay 4th down.

TCU has a very LSU 2019 feel but without a Joe Burrow and unreal receiving corps. Duggan and Johnston are good, but they're no Burrow/Chase.

Would have offset the forward pass that I believe they called but ignored because of the stop. Right?
It was a legal forward pass.
Just think of a trick play. As long as it is behind the line of scrimmage and hasn't already been thrown fwd it's a legal pass.

Somebody absolutely has to GIF that. That's all-time Gif material.

If Harbs doesn't go full melt on the refs I will be disappointed.

It was also 2 different fumbles on 4th down, so couldn't be advanced right? Or is that just NFL?

Oh you might be right. I thought the original fumble off the QB rolled beyond the LOS. It was just short
