Yeah, when he is healthy he is very good but has missed a lot of games while at Clemson.

Could see Levis going to the Rams at 36.

Seeing reports on Arrowhead Pride that the Chiefs tried to trade up to the Cowboys spot to get Murphy out of Clemson and Dallas rejected the trade.

I think Dallas was pissed about getting leap frogged by the Bills for the Kincade pick and didn't wanna hear it from other teams asking if they are willing to trade down. Looks like we knew the Bengals were probably gonna nab him, so we tried to leap frog them like we did the Bills last year for Mcduffie.

I also feel like Teams don't wanna trade with KC any more because they're tired of seeing the Chiefs winning. That's what sucks about winning so much, is becoming public enemy #1. Even NFC teams are probably telling us to kick rocks, especially the Eagles and the 49ers.

Could easily see Levis being the best quarterback in this draft.

This literally just dropped:

quote:

Jalen Carter overcame not-great feedback from Georgia coaches to stay in top 10

quote:

College coaches who are asked about their former players often face a dilemma. Say nice things about the player who gave multiple years of unpaid service to the program, but who was may not have been an ideal soldier? Or tell the truth?

On one hand, the coaches feel compelled to show loyalty to their players. On the other hand, the coaches have to think about their credibility with NFL coaches and scouts.

When it comes to defensive tackle Jalen Carter, the word making the rounds before the draft was that the Georgia coaches did not have nice things to say. (We specifically decided not to mention any of that until after he was picked, so as not to participate in the pre-draft effort to get guys to fall.)

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media hinted at that last night after Carter became the ninth overall pick in the draft. We’ve heard it more bluntly and strongly. Members of the Georgia coaching staff are not Jalen Carter fans, and they weren’t bashful about saying so.

It’s one of various reasons why Carter — arguably the best player in the draft — slipped to No. 9. But he still landed in the top 10, and he ended up with one of the best teams in the NFL. Now, it’s up to him to write a better chapter in the next phase of his NFL career

While I believe there's some truth to that, the article says nothing. What did the UGA coaches say? Is there more to it then the racing and being out of shape at pro day? What else is negative?

Alternative view - he's the most talented player in the draft even with negativity hanging around him. How good could he be if he gets that stuff cleared up...?

Agreed that the article is vague, but OTOH, there has been way too much smoke w/this not for there to be some truth behind it.

Did that happen often? Everyone has a play where they look bad here and there.

Joey Porter Jr to Pittsburgh @ 32 seems like the most obvious pick in history.

I'm assuming the racing and being out of shape were just symptoms of a larger problem of attitude and immaturity. The guy is obviously a great player but if you are dumb enough, or immature enough to do those things then you probably are not a great person to be around

Saw a Tweet that said Iowa had two of its best offensive players drafted in the first round last night. LOL

That's what they said about the Honeybadger. Patrick Peterson talked management into it and gave them a different perspective, other than all the bad press out there. And then assumed the role of mentor immediately.

The Eagles have Dawgs all over the place now. Guys who have gone to battle with Carter and no doubt have been consulted in depth about his character.

Getting this kind of talent, franchise talent, at number 12, and a herd of dawgs as a support system, isn't much of a gamble.

What was Hendon Hooker doing at 20? Or hell, 23?

Like Richardson, nothing worth while. Except throwing less interceptions. Which is why I would not have risked 4th overall pick money on him (or much less Richardson) at 20 years old. Hell, I wouldn't risk it on either one now, but you make me choose one and its Hooker all day long.
