I know this is going to be a surprise, but it’s not. It was used in some minstrel shows like a hundred years ago. Those shows sometimes featured actors in blackface.

That’s the entire argument against the song.

At least Sark is taking a stand on what he believes and isn’t just kissing arse to his players.

It was part of his job description.

He's already being called out on social media. Not surprisingly, Bomani weighs in.

I'm so sick of this world where we assume the worst of everyone, that we look for the snarky come back, or why the doer of deeds has done wrong. It's horse shite.

Gordan said the "The Eyes of Texas" is a satirical rendition of Confederate commander Robert E. Lee’s saying “the eyes of the south are upon you,” which was made popular on the UT campus by former university president William Lambdin Prather.

quote:

“Students, as students will do, decided to make fun of that and created a satirical song that have words that were appropriate to the University of Texas,” Gordon said in a recent interview. “Those are the words of the song, and they put it to the tune of a well-known song, which was ‘I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.’

This is what people have a problem with? A stupid song that picks fun at some shite Robert E. Lee supposedly said? Goodness.

It's as if he knows the roster isn't filed with elite talent and so he doesn't give a shite about their dumb opinions.

And why the hell does Bomani Jones opinion mean shite?

It doesn’t, he’s just one of a multitude of pussies in this country that gets their feelings hurt over nothing.

The weak minded and ignorant are so easy to get “offended”. That’s what happens when you can’t think for yourself and let others tell you how you should feel.

Then pick which master you are going to serve and stick with them.

Trying to split the baby just results in everyone hating you.

It's not racist and is actually a parody of Robert E. Lee's statement.

It is as racist as the word picnic, which has magically been made racist out of thin air with idiots claiming it meant picking black people out for lynching and celebrating with a meal.

This is why society is beyond ridiculous right now. Also ironic why certain groups love to cry about fake news, when it clearly is being pushed by idiot extremists.

Sark is trying to do what Saban has created at Alabama.

You have guys that signed letters of intent knowing full well what the school song was. If players aren’t there to play for each other and the school then transfer out

Drew reconciled with his teammates, restored team chemistry, had a great season, and did not lose his broadcasting deal

They’re playing for a chance to go to the NFCCG this Sunday

The wailing of a few Twitter morons and menstruating message boarders means nothing to successful people.
