ETA: the woman has been revealed

quote:

Stephen A. Smith has a problem with how the Celtics are handling Ime Udoka.

The Boston head coach is facing a suspension that could be as long as a full season after he was implicated in having a consensual affair with a team employee, a violation of the organization’s guidelines. Smith took aim at the Celtics for releasing this information to reporters, and included race in his commentary.

“I got news for you America: There are plenty of white folks in professional sports that’s doing their thing. And I say that not complimentary,” Smith said. “I don’t see the information out about them. Why are we talking about this now? We gotta talk about it because it’s the news. Ain’t none of our damn business, unless you fire him.

But if you keep him, it’s none of our business. It should’ve never been put out there by the Celtics organization — and don’t tell me you didn’t do it! Because you absolutely did it — because news reporters did it. So, it emanated out of Boston. Somebody ain’t in L.A. or Utah or something leaking this stuff about the Boston Celtics. This is on y’all. It shouldn’t have been out here. That’s what I have to say.”

All kinds of things happen on this planet. People that don't deserve to get fired do. People that do deserve to get fired don't. Nepotism, cronyism, everything. Sometimes life isn't fair.

But there is nothing wrong when someone is clearly breaking rules and they are held accountable.

CEO of McDonalds stepped down for a similar thing and he was white last I checked.

Bobby Petrino was fired as well for schlepping a subordinate.

quote:

In November 2019, McDonald's board of directors voted to remove Easterbrook as CEO since he had violated corporate policies on personal conduct by entering into a relationship with a company employee.[10] He was replaced as CEO by Chris Kempczinski, who had been president of McDonald's USA.[11]

If he wants to rant about something it should be why Deshaun Watson got less of a punishment for sex crimes against at least 20 women than Udoka got for consensual sex with a single women

Probably a bunch, you just never heard about it. We probably never hear about Les if Drake Davis and Guice behave normally. I don't think this is exclusively a white thing.

Its totally absurd.

"An unnamed white person may have done the same thing as Udoka therefore he shouldn't be punished"

I think a year suspension is totally absurd, fyi but you make a fair point:

Watson is accused of sexual assault by 20+ women and got an 11 game suspension.

Udoka had sex with someone, consensually, gets an entire year.

Udoka is a now a public embarrassment for the organization.

The NBA and their teams, which are obsessed with their image and social media, would perpetually be crushed on the interwebz if nothing were to happen.

No chance in hell they allow their team to become an internet meme.

Wasn't that part of the reason Bill Gates "voluntary" stepped down. I mean... The man was top 5 wealthiest people alive.. it caught up to him ( just a bit more diplomatic exit that's all)
