This season keeps getting better and better.

All part of Luhnow's plan.

Also, I advise all to go follow @BestFansStLouis on Twitter ( Direct Link). It's going to be absolutely pure gold for the next several days on there.

Right now, Cards fans are claiming the Astros and the FBI are jealous of "their" success.

Woo Phil Sooie ?@BigPhil870 9m9 minutes ago Missouri, USA So, teams can't compete with @Cardinals so they send the FBI to investigate them? Classic cowards.

I expect this becomes a rallying cry before the end of the day for cardinals fans.

Investigators believe Cardinals officials, concerned that Mr. Luhnow had taken their idea and proprietary baseball information to the Astros, examined a master list of passwords used by Mr. Luhnow and the other officials who had joined the Astros when they worked for the Cardinals. The Cardinals officials are believed to have used those passwords to gain access to the Astros’ network, law enforcement officials said.

This kind of throws a bit of wrench in the situation. I'm not well versed on the law pertaining to this issue, but is just guessing potential (likely) passwords technically "hacking"?

"It's not a real "hack". It's a less expensive, safer scheme that is technically legal in our country."

Eh. The front office guys involved were probably just drunk as is often the case with anyone from the Cardinals. Drunken shenanigans.

I was just about to say WHAT a shocker that not a single Cards fan has commented in this thread.

I made a comment earlier. I'm a Cardinals fan. I'm not sure what you're going for here.

The Cardinals wouldn't have been able to do this without some high-quality internet. Yes, they have the best LANs in baseball.

And I'll add:

IF the owner knew (huge, unlikely if) and this information was used for competitive advantage then you have to hit them where it hurts. No televised games in 2016 and every game on the road.

The St. Louis Cardinals are a great team and all other teams are just jealous they didn't think of this hack first. #Astros

Aren't the Cardinals the NE Patriots of the MLB? They won't get anything done to them.

They still had to get access to the network somehow.

ETA: to get to the point where they tried the passwords I mean.

Yea but you've repeatedly commented about how you know cardinals fans are self righteous sanctimonious pricks...I'm guessing people are looking for the killz of the world.
