In no particular order

Pat Summeralll, in his prime
Tony Kubek
Al Michaels
Don Criqui
Dick Stockton, in his prime
Marc Albert

For you youngsters, Tony Kubek is maybe the best pure baseball analyst of all time. He worked on the NBC Game of the Week with Curt Gowdy and Joe Garagiola in the last 60s and all of the 70s. But he was really good with Bob Costas on the backup GOTW in the ‘80s.

Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner calling the Sunday night football game on Westwood one radio. Sometimes I listen to them and mute the TV while watching. But I do like Chris collinsworth too.

I watched the SF Giants on MLB yesterday just to hear the smooth tones of Jon Miller.

Keith Jackson is boring as frick. I watched the USC Texas Rose Bowl recently and his call was putting me to sleep.

"4th and 5 the national championship on the line here. He's going for the corner....got it.....Vince Young s c o r e s"

Glad ge was already old as shite by the time I was growing up so I didn't have to listen to him

Keith Jackson
Brad Nessler (him and Blackledge made for a great crew to enjoy a game)
Ron Franklin
Ernie Harwell (made the radio more enjoyable than TV)

That’s my answer. Still calls Raiders games on the radio and does a great job.

Keith Jackson too. I was young but Brent and Keith are engrained in my mind when it comes to my first memories of being a sports fan.

For pro football it had to be Pat Sumrall I could watch the game and just totally relax and take a Sunday afternoon nap.

For baseball it was Vin Sully. Baseball on TV was Vin Scully...he just would sound like summer. I think he's still alive

College football was Keith Jackson and the " big uglies" and " fuuuuuumble". I also like Chris Fowler, he calls a good game.

Yep, I know people hated on Joe Morgan as they got older, but hearing those two on Sunday Night Baseball was a big part of my childhood.

And, the OP ends the thread on the first post. Keith Jackson was the best to ever do it and there is not a close second, IMO.

Joe Davis is going to be the next great announcer. The Dodgers are so lucky to go from Scully to Davis.

Loved Madden early on (bc he taught football while still being entertaining).

One name I haven't seen mentioned (probably because it was a short career) is Billick. I loved watching his games for the same reason. I feel like this is what you are getting with Romo, and hope it'll be the same with Brees

Always loved Pat Summerall and John Madden calling games. Al Michaels in really any sport, he’s got iconic calls in multiple. Jim Nantz for one I haven’t seen mentioned, love his work at The Masters every year.

An underrated one. Very understated. Crisp voice, did a solid job and didn't try to outshine the athletes competing on the court/field.

Also, Dick Enberg. "Oh my."

Well I’ll have to break it down.

MLB Jack buck and vin Scully
NBA Marv Albert
NHL Doc Emmrick
College football Kieth Jackson

But overall it’s Dick Enberg

He could do it all. College football, NFL, College Basketball, MLB and was a great Tennis guy.
