1) John Madden. He is going to turn 82 in April. I never would have figured a guy who was always as large as he has been would have made it to his 80's.

2) William "Refrigerator" Perry. He just made 55, and I am shocked he made it this far. As of a couple years ago, he was 450 pounds, had diabetes, admitted he was an alcoholic, showed signs that he might have CTE, and can barely walk.

3) Bill Russell (83) and Bob Pettit (85). You just don't see many guys over the age of 80 who are approaching 7 feet tall walking around. Honorable mention: Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who is 7'2 and 70 years old.

Oh, and inb4 Johnny Manziel...

Jake LaMotta (Raging Bull) died last year.

I thought for sure he had died over 20 years ago.

I’m still shocked about that.

Lawrence Taylor, y'all know the NY Giants took out a $2 million life insurance policy on him based on how reckless he lived his life on and off the field? Simply insane

Earl Campbell because just look at him, dude looks like he should be terminally hospitalized with how he functions currently, it's depressing tbh

Former Vikings HC Bud Grant is still alive at 90. I didn't know he was still alive until I saw his comments about Colin Kaepernick last year.

Good answer. Based on some of the things I read about his off the field habits, it is shocking he is still walking the earth.

I haven't seen Earl Campbell anywhere on TV in years, but I can imagine running on that hard Astroturf in the Astrodome took a toll on his body.

LOLZ I might as well throw out Brett Favre for shits and giggles, dude should not be functioning the way he is with all that carnage he endured on the football field and with his drug addiction for 20 football seasons, literally insane dude's one of the toughest players EVER

Jerry Sloan

I was shocked when I saw a recent picture of him. He has that shite that Robin Williams offed himself because of.

I’ve heard it’s bad, but I honestly don’t know bad. I’ve heard he can barely walk which in and of itself is horrible considering what caliber of physical specimen he was.

Back to the OP, I’m a bit surprised that the fat ads coach from Kansas is still alive. He was disgustingly obese. I truly don’t understand how people allow themselves to get so damn fat. It looks uncomfortable as Hell. I fight my own demons, but thank a God being a disgusting slob is not one of them. I can’t remember that guys name though...

I can't believe Jason Whitlock is still doing what he's doing the way he's been doing it, remarkable considering he's a rather portly man

Legend of Life right thur, it almost doesn't matter how long he lives here because he's made such an immeasurable difference regardless of what he's done inside and outside of sports and the fact that his love for community participation and all that remains strong is just magnificent

That's a very stupid way to put it. Why wouldn't you just say what it is?
