My first thought was Eddie Sutton. Guy drank hard for 50 years and hasn't died from it yet.

Red schoendiest retired from Major League Baseball when I was 2. I am now 57. He is about 3rd tier famous but a hall of famer. He is 95 and still goes to spring training as far as I know

Just about anybody who played in the NFL for double digit years in the 50s - 60s era. They didn’t train year around, no real nutrition science back then, played through injuries, etc.

Didn't he also beat TB? Even more impressive.

Was just about to post this.
He contracted HIV at a time when it was still a death sentence for most and he’s still alive and well
Reading an article on Live Science years ago & it says Magic isn't particularly unique and that thousands are surviving with HIV ( diagnosed in the early/ mid 80's) even longer than Magic.

I'm a little over a decade older than you and I remember when he played for, I believe, the Cardinals. I did not know he was still alive. I believe he had a bout with cancer back when was still playing. Obviously, he beat it. Thanks for the update.

AJ Foyt. 83. Terrible health issues for years.
Wrecked a damn bulldozer and fell in a pond a few years ago.
Attacked by killer bees and stung in the head 200 times.
Super Tex is still kicking.

Michael Bennett. Can’t believe he’s survived this long with all the racist minority cops in Las Vegas.
