I had some stuff planning to go to PSA too, but thankfully my recent sub of about ~200 cards went to CGC and CSG. Only 40 day projected TARs for sports cards and 120 days for TCGs.
Plus some outstanding pricing.

My buddy is trying to sell this. And he really has no clue where to start.
Right now looking at Ebay (list for minumum+bid and hope the people who "know" will bid it up to within ~90% of value, fee comes out to like 3%) or Pwcc (they take 9%).
If y'all have some ideas, I'd appreciate it.

I would 100% go with PWCC. That's likely a $100k+ card, and I would want the best in the business handling the transaction.
Plus, it will get far more attention through a PWCC auction then doing his own

What did you pay per card?
I left out my Heston Kjerstad Bowman draft auto as well...I really want that PSA but not sure now when it would be possible.

The people that spend that think they’re going to get rich. Also the same type of people that are probably going balls to the wall on Top Shot highlight clips.

$8 base per card.
+$2 for auto
+$10 for subgrades

Dude has no clue, so I've been trying to help him

The ignorance
Boomers have all the money and high end cards.

The biggest difficulty he'll have is getting that package insured to get it to PWCC. Having that card not in some sort of vault is some ballsy plays

This dude has no clue. Seriously
He's asking if there's a way to ensure a floor? Meaning if it doesn't sell over a certain amount he gets it back.

He can possibly check out myslabs. He would be able to name his price on there and also accept offers. Only 1% selling fee on there, but he will probably have to talk to the guy who runs the site to become an approved seller.

HGA 9.5 auctions have been beating psa 10’s at times. The buyers market loves these sharp looking HGA slabs at the moment, so if you are looking for a quick flip, HGA is not a bad idea. No idea if they will stand the test if time though.

That’s my biggest concern is the HGA’s still being worth a crap in 30 years.

Goldin or Leland are good choices, believe Leland doesn’t charge a seller commission.

Anyone have any recs on the top loader size for your standard relic card? I’ve bought three different sizes and they are either too small or way too big lmao.
Posted on 3/31/21 at 9:51 pm to McCaigBro69
Tough to say since all relics sizes vary quite a bit
Posted on 3/31/21 at 9:52 pm to bluebarracuda
I’m looking to load Bowman Inception relics. All jerseys.
No clue if that helps.

Also for the Jordan I would have him send into psa to see if if it would get a psa 10, if not it stays in the bgs holder. Mainly bc if it grades a psa 10, he could be looking at 300-500k compared to 80-100k
