If you're doing a walk-through, might as well do the 3k option, right?

Doesn't really matter what he selects, PSA will up-charge him to the 5k option if it gets PSA 10

They don't charge until it's graded

I got one BGS 10. Unfortunately, the player tanked after I had it graded. The card was slightly bigger than a normal size card, but BGS put it in an ugly, way oversized slab.

Welp, exactly a year has gone by and still haven't received my panini redemptions yet. One day I'll get that 1/1 CeeDee auto and /99 Chase Young auto

Currently have the slowest race of all time right now between my last PSA sub back in July and that Panini redemption

I was part of a PSA/DNA sub a year ago. Right before we were due our order, carona shut down the country. So a January submission took until August or September to get back. And then our group submitter accidentally sent my card to someone else in the submission. And I accidentally got someone else's cards. But he refunded me my submission fee plus a little extra. So it all worked out in the end. It just took a lot longer than I initially expected.

I have had a few Topps redemptions that were never filled after a few years. But they were low value junk I didn't care much about. I completely forgot about them until I found an envelope from Topps with replacement cards buried under some other mail at my parent's house since I had moved and didn't have a new address at the time.

I have to bitch and say that the inflation of card prices has just gotten out of fricking control. A box of generic arse Topps Series 1 baseball is now 150 bucks. That's double what it was a year or two ago. Bowman is preselling for 4k a fricking case. This is absolutely insane. The bubble will burst and it will be a big one.

That has been said for the past year across all of collectables (pokemon, sports cards, nfts, etc)

The only way it will burst if somehow demand dies off

a year isn't a terribly long time, the sports card market has had at least two peaks in the last 30 years, this being a 3rd. All collectables ebb and flow. Obviously the pandemic fueled the collectibles market.

$10/pack for topps series 1 baseball IS NOT sustainable for any long amount of time.

I’m with you. When the pandemic ends, lots of people will be back at the office without hours on end to deal in the card market.

Stimulus checks will stop, which means methheads can’t stalk WalMart or Target for their next hit.

If you look closely at the people buying shite up at a rapid rate, you’ll see that it’s not your everyday collectors.

And those "scalpers" products are getting gobbled up by the collectors

And the only way the scalpers will stop making money is if the collectors quit buying from them, but the collectors arent since they got the cardboard crack addiction

Woof. I sure am glad I quit buying boxes a long time ago.

I went to Target the other night not to buy cards. Out of curiosity, I walked by the card aisle. It was completely wiped out. There was a sign that said there was now a limit how much product you could buy. I have bought many packs and blasters at retail stores like that for a very long time. And I have never seen the shelves picked dry like that before with any limitation how much you could buy.

Which of you ballers here bought this?

While Tom Brady is breaking records on the field, he continues to break records off the field as well. Brady's rookie card sold in March for $1.32 million, believed to be a record high for any football card, and now the same type of card has blown past that record, selling for $2.25 million on Friday.

The 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket card is autographed and numbered 99 out of 100, meaning only 100 copies of this particular card were produced. The version that sold in March to Fitbit CEO James Park was graded as an 8 with the autograph graded a 10. The card that sold Friday was graded as an 8.5 with a 9 on the autograph, but the buyer for this particular card wishes to stay anonymous.

They can just go through self checkout to avoid the limit

Same thing is happening for Pokemon too

I don't think Target has self checkout.

Where have you been the last 2 years. You haven’t been able to buy retail for at least that long unless you had connections. Target now has a 2 per person limit but you still have the crackheads lining up every Friday.

My buddy is trying to sell this. And he really has no clue where to start.
Right now looking at Ebay (list for minumum+bid and hope the people who "know" will bid it up to within ~90% of value, fee comes out to like 3%) or Pwcc (they take 9%).

If y'all have some ideas, I'd appreciate it.

The Beckett Jordan you have in your pic is a fake. You can lookup the serial number on Beckett’s site and it is not found. Might want to let your friend know

Shopping for more important items. I quit buying boxes a long time ago. Therefore, every time I shop I don't stop by the card aisle.

He had it graded by them himself. So that's impossible
