The “free tickets” with a Coke disaster is the final nail, although I’m told Brandon’s fate was sealed long ago.

I Googled that, because I was curious about the phrase. What a cluster frick. Trying to get students to go to games by giving away football tickets with the purchase of a bottle of Coke at the campus convenience store. And this is an elite program in a major conference.

If a potential Miles-to-Michigan forces Aleva to make a short list of potential candidates, I'm good with that. Not ready for Miles to leave, but leadership needs to have the future top of mind.

someone's gonna get a gem in Narduzzi.

Sumlin....ehh, i actually see him going NFL for a few years (when he's ready to...for you aggie fans that think i want him gone this soon), then back to college if he flames out. that's one guy with stock that's parabolic.

Ya, I agree. He will be in the NFL soon. Just kind of a wish list. Wouldnt mind seeing Gustav in Ann Arbor either.

I have always been a Miles supporter but I am done with him.

Great recruiter, great man, hilarious, I'll miss him a little if he goes.

But he's just too damn hard headed, his teams are always sloppy, play way down to the level of competition, extremely poor in game management, and absolute dinosaur offense for the level of talent in state. I'm done.

I would love for him to go to Michigan and get some fresh blood in that will run some variation of a spread offense.

That being said, Miles will retire at LSU.

I read Bo's book and had the definition of a Michigan man. Thought it meant someone who loves the university and represents it with pride, honor and dignity.

Think the recent definition is who ever does the best job juggling lloyld carrs pair.

What is the real definition of a Michigan man

When do you think that'll be?

About 5 years from now IMO

This is correct. It has nothing to do with having an established connection to the University.

5-10 years.

Our luck he'll coach until his 80 and will be still running the power I.

People from Austin can chime in on this, but he apparently burned Austin sports radio to the ground for a while.

a while?

he dismantled it completely - ran off every living soul who knew anything about sports and could talk about it. It took almost a full sports year cycle to get 1300AM back to where it was even quasi-toerable

he was well hated for a long time here

Get ready. Miles is going to parlay this into an extension or raise.

And get ready to watch LSU fans and the LSU administration to fall for it again. I wouldn't give Les a raise/extension until he wins another national championship which will be never.

But now that Alleva has his own contract extension, he might just tell a coach that's trying to extort more money - and especially a coach he didn't hire himself - to take a hike.
