It has always blown my mind how hyped this dude is. Nothing about his game pointed to being individually elite at the qb position.

Wow so much butthut from a team that went 10-6 and almost made the playoffs. Tua went 4-2 and did pretty damn good for a rookie. Pretty harsh on a guy that's been in the league for 8 months and is coming off a devastating injury.

Has Saban developed any true NFL quarterbacks? We are looking at Tony Banks right now as the only who had any type of career as a starter.

They don't see a special trait in his skillet beyond accuracy? As if that's something trivial for a QB. Football players aren't rocket scientists and this bad take proves it

Probably not, seeing as he doesn’t coach quarterbacks.

But he’s been one hell of a wide receiver coach!

Good or bad, you have to have to have your teammates back.

Glad someone said it. This is a shite look for the Dolphins.

I'd trade Tua for Watson any day!

Accuracy is a pretty damn important trait. Drew Brees will be in the hall of fame.

Anybody still listen to Russillo? I am curious of his take on Tua now. I haven't listened to his pod in awhile, but he used to be bullish on Tua being great in the NFL. He never could put Joe above him, even with his LSU leans.

Almost all of this was due to feedback from Trent Dilfer, who had Tua as a can’t miss once in a generation talent

IMO the Dolphins rushed Tua back onto the field from his injury for no reason. He should’ve sat this season, but for whatever reason, people act like rookie QBs have to see playing time ASAP.

He is coming off a huge injury and has gone from playing Checkers to Chess. From what I saw from him the Dolphins played it very conservative with him. They had a great defense and wanted him to learn the game without having to do too much. Hard to make a judgement at this point on a rookie QB. He could be the next Drew Brees and we wouldn’t know at this point. The Dolphins didn’t exactly surround him with a great arsenal of weapons on offense either. Patience

I mean he was good at Bama, and anyone who denies that is just being difficult.

Again, as people on this site say weekly, it's really fing hard to know where a good QB is going to come from.

The best QBs in the NFL played at Cal, Wisky/NC St, Texas Tech, and Wyoming, maybe you can throw Clemson in with Watson. None of them were taken with the first pick in the draft. Fans on this site like to pound their chests about being right but it's way easier to be right proclaiming a QB a bust than it is to be wrong. Your chances are like 90%
