It has always blown my mind how hyped this dude is. Nothing about his game pointed to being individually elite at the qb position.

I don’t blame them judging from what I have seen. I think right now Fitzmagic is better. I get ownership and the front office wants Tua to play to help the future of the organization but it has to be frustrating for players and staff who don’t have the luxury of waiting to win

This entire site had him pegged as a future HOF back in 2018. Life comes at you fast.

Bc he’s trash and fragile. NFL isn’t stupid enough to ignore this

Especially when they missed the playoffs by one game, I have a feeling that has a lot to do with the players frustrations since they basically were just experimenting and scouting the QB position during the middle of a potential playoff run when their starting QB was playing well

Anybody still listen to Russillo? I am curious of his take on Tua now. I haven't listened to his pod in awhile, but he used to be bullish on Tua being great in the NFL. He never could put Joe above him, even with his LSU leans.

Tua may be decent some day but he isn't close to being ready right now. Fitz is clearly better right now. Miami will need to add some good WR's for next year. They also need to overhaul the offense a bit. Miami's D is very solid.

Out of all the QB's from this past draft, Hebert has been a nice surprise. Dude is a baller.

This feels like something another team would covertly put out there to reduce Tua's trade value.

I have doubts of whether he’ll be a good pro but it’s crazy that people expect a rookie qb who only played 3 years of college ball to be ready and a finished-product in year 1.

Some guys are just more physically or mentally ready to play early while others take some time.

As a life long dolphins fan I can honestly say we are tired of being patient and if a trade to get Watson were to present it’s self I would hope Miami would be all over it

Damn it sucks but I think we wiffed on not taking Herbert

Yes and Miami had to throw him out there to see what they had. They have the number 3 pick in the draft next year and some really good qb’s at the top. So I think they needed to see if they were going to stay with Tua or move off him in trade or in the draft.

I would imagine in a normal scenario for a bad team, the teammates wouldnt care

But when you are in the thick of a playoff race, NFL pros arent going to take kindly to playing the player that doesnt give the team the best change to win

This year was idiotic for the Dolphins and how they handled it

My thoughts as well. Plus he's coming off injury and he didn't have an offseason. He needs more time for an accurate assessment.
