Apparently we’re learning for the first time ever that having an injured good player disqualifies you from the playoffs.

When Bama wins it all what is gonna be the excuse?

They lose their star qb. That’s it

Then they should have been out of the top 4 before yesterday’s game. When they played Florida last week, they were still 4. Then went on to beat the Louisville which was ranked with a 3rd string QB.

... and if FSU was in and won it all, what would the bama faithful say?

It doesn’t justify their inclusion. Bama is a great team. They don’t deserve to be there over FSU. Saying who is better vs who deserves it more is a ridiculous metric. Bama didn’t deserve it over Okie Lite in 2011 either, and the Sugar Bowl outcome doesn’t change that. FSU has not proven it will lose because it doesn’t have their starting QB.

Bama benefits as a name brand and the networks will love the eyeballs glued to a Michigan vs Bama Rose Bowl.

They were down to their true freshman third string qb starting his first game who did what he was supposed to do .....make as few mistakes as possible and let your defense win the game.

......but he ain't Saban, who no doubt cried and whined to the committee.

FSU played on the road in a rivalry game vs Florida (Bama also looked like shite in rivalry game on road) and in a championship game vs a top 15 team in the rain with a 3rd string freshman QB.

Norvell should have had the kid slinging it up and down the field all night apparently, to ensure they had a shot.

Silly guy thought just winning the game was the actual goal.

they went undefeated

being undefeated is the most important thing as long as bama is in, if bama isnt in they they get a muligan or rules wil be changed or ignored to get them in.

Schedule up..........North Alabama has been in Div. 1 like one year maybe. Their SOS was 55, Bama's was 5.

The BCS models would have left Texas out. Texas got to much credit, imho, for a head to head win which the committee used to trump other factors, Bama was 3-1 against the top 15, Texas was 1-1. Of course if you play mote top 10-15 schools you have a greater chance of losing a game but you should get credit also for going 3-1.

I do not even see the argument, when you play a schedule that has 67 wins vs. 76 loses whilst Bama's opponents are 85-52 and then you beat a 13-0 team on top of that, FSU has no on e to blame except them playing in a really bad conference and scheduling North Alabama.

Except SOS is not what got you in

It’s Jordan Travis being injured, straight from the committee’s mouth

Anybody that’s cool with that has some serious issues, IMO

Lol, yeah, frick FSU for scheduling 2 OOC SEC opponents and going 2-0. They should have scheduled more Middle Tennessees and Chattanoogas.

They just had shite injury luck and play in a 2nd tier conference.

They went undefeated in a power conference. That is all that should matter.

Sometimes luck can be your best friend or your worse enemy in CFB. 30 years ago, FSU got to play in a de facto title game as a one loss team over 11-0 Big East champ West Virginia and a 10-1 ND who beat them head to head (Auburn was also 11-0 but they were banned from bowl games before the season started).

Won their conference championship with a 3rd string QB. Competent 2nd stringer should be good in time for a bowl or playoff. It’s all about TV money. Will anyone be checking the bank accounts of the playoff committee members?

Too honest about Travis injury. From now on, I would not declare any season ending injures.

The excuses will be that FSU never got a chance to prove everyone wrong about leaving FSU out of the playoff.

Laughing at your entire post...

Yeah I'm sure we would have went 7-5 with 22 five stars against people like Ray Goff.
