That’s essentially what the BIG10 is telling us. The in stadium clock is meaningless. How the hell are coaches and players supposed to play?

And doesn’t that mean any play is technically reviewable since you should always be able to review the clock on every play since it’s actually

The BiG10 protects its own

The SEC protects its two teams

Get on board or get fricked.

(We've been on the "fricked" side of it alot)

Maybe football should adopt a clock strategy similar to NBA/NHL where you have milliseconds once it gets below a minute.

Is that really what it has come to now?

Wouldn't prevent the existence of the mystery clock with some extra tenths.

My question is that did they change the rules?

If they get a second back because the clock hasn’t fully expired when the play was called dead then why didn’t LSU get it when they spiked the ball with a second left?

Everyone laughed at Les (rightfully) and said fractions of a second doesn’t exist in the sport.

Now it does?

Reminds me of the opposite of the LSU vs Auburn “win or go home” game in 2016.

Wait, there’s another team besides Bama that the SEC protects. Curious to know what team. I guess it could be Georgia?

“Please reset the game clock to whatever you want because it actually doesn’t matter”.

Michigan also held on the last valid play, so the final play shouldn't have happened either way.

Think you said that backwards. It could say 000 and still have "1 second" left because they say another clock reads 000.4 seconds.

Remember how back in the day the stadium clock would malfunction and so the time had to be kept on the field? Maybe this was one of those times but they just forgot to announce it and it just happened to occur on the play before the first Hail Mary.

Does anyone actually believe they review this if Michigan was the one stopping the Hail Mary?

Has there ever been a game where they “stopped it early” because the game clock showed time left but the “official clock” hit 0?
Seems this clock malfunction always tends to work one way.

I think the sync error is due to playback speeds of both feeds. You can tell in their release that they have clearly slowed down the end zone footage as well as the footage of the clock. They may be synced initially from the start but if you don’t match the playback speeds of both feeds you’ll end up out of sync very quickly.. it’s pretty obvious when you look at what all the player in question was able to accomplish in under 1 second before the clock hit zero.
