I know both are idiots compared to Mayock. The Browns going to an all time low? They can't be THAT stupid

Mayock had the browns trading up to 5 to get trubisky. So they must have a lot of Interest in him

ESPN/NFLN told them to do something controversial to create drama to manufacture doubt as to who goes #1 so people tune in

this is nothing more than scripted drama. it's not their real opinions

Where would Garrett go if Trub goes #1?

I mean, dumb pick imo. But it's been what 20? 25 years? One of these QBs they pick has to work out one day...right?

ESPN is running with Trub going #1 now.

They're using words like "reported" instead of "predicting"

I mean there is a big difference between saying that he will be the #1 pick and saying he is the #1 prospect in the draft.

This wouldn't be the 1st time someone reached for an unproven QB that has the ideal measurables.

Wasn't he considered the consensus #1 pick by most?

Couch went to an expansion team mich like Carr. Both could've been good.

They took 29 year old Brandon Weeden with the 22nd pick in 2012.

i think david carr legit has PTSD-lite by the end of his career in houston. that dude got hit a LOT

I suspect this is a bluff to see if a team in the top 10 that wants Trubisky (Jets?) is willing to pay a king's ransom for #1 overall. Paul Podesta is apparently pushing hard for the Browns to stockpile future draft picks and a trade for #1 overall would seemingly be in line with that strategy. Also, while Myles Garrett is without question the best player available in the draft, I don't believe he is a once in a generation talent. If Cleveland loses out on him after dealing the #1 overall pick, they could still get a guy like Jonathan Allen or Solomon Thomas down the board.

Is Garret really that good anyways? He looks the part. His combine numbers were great. But he had 10 SEC sacks. That's it. He could be another Courtney Brown.
