Darwin award contestants, along with the passengers. No need for all the vitriol in this thread though. The only people affected were in his boat and are all dead. Nice tidy resolution to this risky action.

And if he thought like that, that is what made him a selfish prick

I dont get what could have pissed him off so much that he would get drunk, do a ton of blow, and go 65 mph in his speedboat in the dark.....did his gf cheat on him? If it was anything relating to his gf, they should probably look into her getting half his estate with his mom

well, if he's anything like me, he probably just likes being dangerous and going really fast.... not that I'm condoning the behavior, but it is fun

What the frick? Are you saying most 24 year Olds would do cocaine and drive 2 ton vehicles under the influence of these hard drugs? You must've been around some award winning individuals in your day. I can't think of 1 person I know that would do cocaine, let alone, drive a boat with a bunch of coked up buddies.

I'd guess the being pissed off led him to the drinking. The drinking led him to the poor decision of driving the boat that fast in that spot.

We can argue semantics of "most" but given his exact circumstances, I'm guessing the amount of people who would and do do equally stupid things may be higher than you think.

My dad has a very nice bass boat. Straight line, in broad daylight we have gone 61 mph to test the motor.

I cant imagine being such a dumbass to go 65mph at night in a 32' boat

He was on a scarface coke trip IMHO. Dude was almost begging to go out that night like he did.

I think we could both be right on this one, just based on the context of his post.
