What? Are you drunk at 8 am? That’s only a NFL problem. MLB & NBA never have that issue so go tell your straw man to frick himself

His salary for this season is 7 million, so he is losing 2 million dollars from that? Prorated half season he would only be making 3.5

So let me get this straight, he is saying he will be turning down 5 MILIION DOLLARS because he is scared he will contract a virus that kills almost no one that is his age and especially in his physical condition. I'm an essential worker and know a lot of people who have gotten this thing and they are all fine and back at work. I am not a fan of sports owners but this dude sounds like a fricking spoiled brat.

Snell is a huge gamer and twitch guy. Plays and streams all the time. I bet he likes that more than playing baseball.

He’s like a kid off from school. He just wants to stay home and play video games instead of going to work so he’s going to bang the covid-19 drum to get his way

My bold prediction on all of this is that when all is said and done, as a whole the players are going to come out of this not looking good PR wise.

And if I had to guess, he probably wouldn't even go to the park the other 4 days.

He made 23 starts last year, so for simplicity let's say he makes 12 starts this year. That's $400k+ each time he leaves his house to go to work. Dude needs to sack up.

Yep. I love baseball, but I'm 47 years old. Baseball could be the first sport back and possibly gain tons of new, younger fans that they don't have. If whiny millionaire players refuse to play when many Americans are unemployed and struggling, I'm done with baseball's arse, and I'm a HUGE MLB fan. It's by far my favorite professional sport.

I'm sure there are guys in AA/AAA who would love to make the major league minimum for even half a season.

Not a bold prediction... It will happen.

The owners have put out an offer to start the season and there are SO many eyes on baseball now as the likely first team sport to return with so much pent up desire. The players will look greedy if they snuff their nose and refuse to negotiate and get on the field.

Dont generalize millennials. 99.9% of any age would take that 5mil and go pitch 15 games like a normal person would.
