It just doesn’t make for good football. We watch to see great athletes do athletic things, not be barely able to run without falling down.

Saquon just scored an 80 yard TD and the Rams just marched down the length of the field in like 2 minutes

I’m at the point in life where if attending in person, I’d be happy inside a dome (I’ll leave the roughing the elements nowadays to the younger baws).

Watching on TV however I enjoy the added angle/challenges that playing in the elements can force upon teams. Who can best adapt? And it looks cool (from my comfy recliner with a little whiskey).

What about how the game is played makes it "meant" for the outdoors?

elements although with Louisiana's heat, don't mind a dome down here.

This is awesome. This is football. I’d be down to use the Biden weather machines to make all playoff games into blizzards

It’s cool but it’s not how any team, at any level, in any state actually prepares and plays football.

The idea that this is real football or something is a head scratcher for me.

Its a mess

Much prefer inside football vs this slop
Preferring conditions that add extra randomness/volatility - and thus push the odds of any given game closer to 50/50 - seems like it doesn't make much sense. I mean, I get the sentiment that it makes for some different type of fun once in awhile. But overall, it's clearly worse.

If you believe at all in seeding and that sort of stuff, then you should prefer conditions that allow teams to play as themselves as they have all year.

Snow is fun to watch. I'm not sure it is an even playing field if all teams aren't playing in the same conditions though. But, this is an entertainment show. It isn't designed to find the best team. It's designed to entertain and make the most money.

Well that’s not true. Most teams prepare for the elements in various ways

The gamesmanship and schematic intricacies and variables like the weather are the things that make football fun. It’s not a madden simulation.

I haven't watched more than 5 game minutes of any NFL game in years. I went through the channels today and saw all that snow in the late 3rd quarter of the Eagles game and watched the rest of that game.

Play it outside in the elements.
