I liked Cuban's take - why don't you get upset at your boss that they don't play the anthem before you start your work everyday too...

It’s a poor take considering most people’s jobs don’t bring large groups of people together like professional sports do.

Several is very impressive for the MLB. Wouldn't have expected any at all.

On the other hand, it might be pretty enjoyable to watch a bunch of white dudes who grew up playing travel ball try to convince native Cubans and Venezuelans to kneel because America is such an oppressive dictatorship.

It has never been about the military or the flag. The players and coaches are using their platforms to peacefully protest.

I guess if me wishing that I could turn on sports to get away from all the current BS and players not use it as a political platform is considered a melt the so be it.

All sports should stop playing the anthem before games.
Or if they are determine to play it, then play the anthem before the teams take the field.
Doesnt seem like any of the major sports deem it to be a problem. So they arent looking at ways to solve it. A segment of the their fans are pissed off about it, bit obviously it doesnt dent their numbers too much. So i dont think they have a problem. That segment will just have to learn to deal with it or quit watching

I’ve tuned out and will focus on something else. No politics in sports please.
Isn't saying "no politics in sports" because someone did something you don't agree with inherently political?

You came to the board to tell us that you will be doing other hobbies instead of watching MLB due to players kneeling.
That is textbook virtue signalling.

I heard Gabe Kapler used to spend a lot of time on his knees. Loves flesh cucumber In his mouth

I read the story on Espn.com. It's like theyre saying "we can't wait for nobody to watch sports again. Then we can truly be irrelevant."

Are the kneelers not starting a conversation either?
Seems a lot of people got hypersensitive over that.

Why can't they protest on their work days if they don't get reprimanded for it?

well... so much for MLB staying neutral, they just came out in support and worship of BLM
from MLB's official Twitter account. they're even going after fans who question their support of this Marxist movement.
