Saban still going to Texas right chicken?
find a post where I said that Saban was going to Texas...it's been a while but I am pretty sure I said that UT was pursuing Saban hard, which even Finebaum admits.

Interesting take.

Cam - More passing TDs, more rushing TDs, more total TDs (by 13), higher passer rating, higher completion percentage, more Y/A, fewer interceptions, more rushing yards (by 400+)

Vince - More passing yards (by about 180), higher rush avg. (by 1.2/carry)

Yeah, no.

Cam Newton 2010:
-185/280, 66.1%, 2854 yards, 10.2 you, 30 TD, 7 INT, 182.0 rating
-264 att, 1473 yards, 5.6 avg, 20 TD, 2 rec, 42 yards, 1 TD

Vince Young 2005:
-212/325, 65.2%, 3036 yards, 9.3 ypa, 26 TD, 10 INT, 163.9 rating
-
-155 att, 1050 yards, 6.8 avg, 12 TD, 0 rec

Vince had much better weapons to help him on offense and take the pressure off too, and a much better defense as well so less mental pressure

Clearly I don't even need to list NFL stats for further proof that Cam is better

I agree cam was better but nfl stats couldn't be more irrelevant when discussing who was a better college player.

His WRs were more talented, maybe not by much, but he also had Jamaal Charles at RB and an NFL TE

Performance on the highest stage, yes for sure. As far as a “single game”, many QBs have done way more. He just did it in a title game.

For all of 900 yards. He was a freshman.

If so, he’s somewhere on the list behind Baker Mayfield.

Charles was a Freshman. Selvin Young was solid as well. But it wasn’t like he was playing with a bunch of NFL caliber players all around him.
