Those “Fiesta colors” are actually more like the colors of the ABA’’s Miami Floridians than the Heat’s Miami Vice uniforms. And the Floridians folded before the Dallas Chaparrals moved to San Antonio and became the Spurs. The Heat was worn throwback uniforms paying tribute to the Floridians over the years.

I think both Floridians and Spurs Fiesta are a nice homage to the local culture. I’ll allow them both. Nothing phony about either.
Spurs needed a change from the military style. I was never on board with those. So many leagues do military tribute unis anyway, no need to make a fixture in your rotation.
