Would you rather have a Josh Allen/Young Ben Roethlisberger without the derp or Alex Smith/Kirk Cousins?

That’s essentially what you are asking when you compare Herbert and Burrow.

And the answer is pretty clear.

So you’ve gone from calling Burrow garbage in every single thread to comparing him to 10+ year NFL starters?

Interesting.

I thought he should have been and was posting about it before the 19 season. That’s not an insult to Burrow, but Herbert was just as great. If he had his full starting WR Jr and Sr years it wouldn’t been an argument

Herbert is similar to Marino at this point. Definitely a hall of fame guy. Burrows ceiling is a Phillip Rivers type career.

I'm sure there are, but I've only been there once, but your post certainly shows that there are dumbasses in TX

He’s garbage now. He’ll eventually be a mediocre QB. You don’t draft mediocre QBs first overall though.

I know he’s not better than him right this second.

I know what I typed was misleading but what I meant by how good he is is he’s “oh shite he can be Mahomes good,” while I don’t think Burrow is on THAT level(or doesn’t have THAT ceiling).

Let's look at some facts:

Bo Nix outplayed Herbert in the 2019 opener.
Herbert is clearly better than Burrow.
Burrow was better than Mac Jones.
Mac Jones outplayed Tom Brady last night.

Conclusion: Bo Nix is better than Tom Brady.

Justin Hebert is playing behind a line that's better at every position than what the Bengals currently field.

Rashawn Slater their rookie T looks to have All Pro potential.

I'd wager Burrow would equally perform as Hebert has with that line and running game.

Burrow is a glove fit for Cinci.

Herbert is a great fit for the Chargers.

As an LSU fan, I’m naturally a huge Burrow honk, but I’m just as big of a Herbert guy after watching him play. Dude is an absolute fricking freak with a rocket arm.

Both teams made out like bandits.

Burrow is the guy who can throw 3 picks and then lead your team down the field to win in the last 2 minutes.

QB is so much about intangibles that aren't on paper. Burrow with more moxy than any QB prospect in recent memory.
