Do you think that if you put mahommes on any team right now (except maybe the buccaneers) they wouldnt instantly be better?

Like Tampa? They got a pretty good QB. We've sure come a long way from all that top 5 nonsense, haven't we?

That is my point. Mahommes needs to be first, or not on the list at all

i somewhat agree (i think if Mahommes jumps up Manning is the clear #1). i'm not even arguing that he's top 5 all time. just that this poster's "logic" is absurd and irrational

he will be top 5, though

and RC only included him for response-based content

Yes Tampa.

Tom Brady would have gone out on a stretcher behind the KC OL in the super bowl.

You act like Tom Brady was playing DE and QB. The guy had like 200 yards passing.

He's been around the NFL long enough to qualify as a 5-minute egg.

Nothing to do with any of my arguments, but my wife thinks he runs like a sissy. I would agree.

this is just one of those things they can roll out there and create instant debate because after Brady no one is going to agree...when the truth is it really doesn't matter where you rank 2-10, it comes down to personal preference.

John Elways's physical traits are legendary. He also went to 5 SBs (won 2). I'd have to put him in there..

Right now I can’t argue against any of these except mahommes. In another 10 years if he keeps playing the way he is now then ya I could see him top 5. Then again he could get hurt and never play another snap.

In. No particular order and I’m only going back to the 70’s when I was born

Brady
Rodgers
Peyton Manning
Montana
Favre
Marino
Bradshaw
Brees
Elway

Why don’t you think Rodgers is a system QB then? He doesn’t “show up” in the playoffs by your logic either.

I mean for Mahommes it’s a bit early but it’s not that crazy

You mean because he ran up against a legit defense and couldn't figure out how to overcome talent in a dog fight? Yeah, that's when it takes more than being a system QB.

I said Rogers, at least, has had an NFL career. That's all.

You can’t just cherry pick. You weren’t arguing that Mahomes shouldn’t be here because it’s too early. That would be reasonable. You said a guy that doesn’t show up when his team needs him to is a system QB. That’s why you thought Mahomes shouldn’t be on here. So that means basically every QB outside a small handful are system QBs. Everyone from P. Manning to Aaron Rodgers are system guys.

Do you even watch the NFL much?

I don't know if I agree with RC, but that's honestly not that terrible of a list and I am surprised that it's not as ridiculous as I thought it would be before I clicked on the thread.

What's his criteria for this list? Is it accomplishments + physical ability? If so it's not a terrible list, even with Mahomes at 5. I wouldn't have him that high yet, but he's certainly on his way to a HoF career or better.

Not Elway’s fault Reeves held him back so much then unleashed him in the 4th Quarter of games for his unimpressive stats the early part of his career, Reeves is probably the most overrated coach whose teams did well but didn’t win the Super Bowl, he called HORRIBLE games in the first two Super Bowls the Broncos lost yet still had a chance to win, BAD JOB calling the Broncos offense during those collapses no wonder they got blown out

I said Reid runs a system that requires speed and space. I said when Tampa closed those avenues Mahomes was out of options.
