I thought he would get in but might take him some years before breaking through

I got to see him pitch this summer in the NBC World Series with the Kansas Stars. He signed a ball for my son. We had a blast watching him pitch. He was zeroed in like he was pitching a playoff game in the majors.

RIP, Doc.

Wait, why did he do that? For fun?

And why is Toby Keith the manager?

Not too familiar with the baseball HOF in such situations, but are deceased players eligible to be voted in? I would hope so, so that their legacy remains if it's HOF worthy. I imagine a family member would/could give the speech at the ceremony.

Hmm.

I wonder if a deceased athlete has ever been inducted into the baseball HoF. I'm sure there has been.

107 players have been inducted posthumously

Dead players are inducted all of the time. Ron Santo was inducted a couple years after he passed away. The Baseball HOF actually waived the five year requirement for Roberto Clemente after he died from the plane crash in 1972. He got in like a year after he retired.

It’s a bad arse looking plane tbh. Seems like a lot of fun (until something like this happens)

The baseball HOF is the most ridiculous process ever. When a guy retires his numbers will never get better or worse, yet guys have to wait some arbitrary amount of years based on just how good or not good they were because the baseball writers say so...which of course leads to players dying before they are inducted. Again, stupid.

Ya I see it was most recently done in 2013, for a couple of players that died in the 30s.

This is a great picture showing you how they advertise this plane.

And it's a horrible idea.

So sad. Reminds me of the Cory Lidle accident. All it takes is a minor change in variables and everything changes drastically. RIP
