No Trump is an unexpected nuclear bomb in the ongoing culture war.
I hated him the primaries, and still dislike him in many ways. But he's possibly the greatest bullshite artist of all time, which allows him to attack the left and media from an angle the right could have never even conceived of previously. And for the first time ever, the demographic he represents actually feels like it has a voice. Scoff if you want, claim he's insincere or disingenuous as well, but he is a marketing/political genius that thrives off of this. And his base is getting a lot of use out of him for it-- it's symbiotic.

Yep. A large portion of the population has felt for the past 5-10 years that they were being drowned out. They thought it was crazy that they cant call someone who came here illegally, an illegal immigrant. They thought it was crazy that a person with a penis was calling themselves a girl. They got angry because a multimillionaire was kneeling because of "oppression". A large portion of the population was sitting in a recliner on Sunday holding a beer watching that and being put off by it. Finally someone got up on stage and said it rather than bowing down to it.
