I cant wait for the first player or coach to get in to a heated argument with a robot and get tossed!

It's only a challenge system though, but the robot calling every pitch.
Teams can challenge two calls per game each.

This is dumb. You can instantly see whether a pitch is a ball or strike now. I don't know why they wouldn't use that and eliminate the need to challenge balls/strikes.

Because some teams depend on the bad calls to help them as much as it hurts the other team.

Even better for Judge. He might bat .450 with 85 dongs.

Will an ump still be at the plate for any plays at the plate?

2 calls per game is ridiculous.
Some umps miss more than 2 calls per batter.

Challenge system is shite. Either all calls electronic or none.

One day we will all look back and realize MLB was the tip of the spear used by billionaires to get people to accept robots and AI stealing human jobs.

Should be 2 challenges allowed, but everyone you get right doesn’t count against you. Basically, you should get 2 missed challenges, after that you don’t have any more.

Should be unlimited challenges, but if the ump was right, the player who challenged the call owes him $1000

The ump in Omaha missed three in a half inning according to the Coastal coach.

I think there is a popular misconception that robot umps are 100% accurate, they are not. And there are many and varied reasons And also, I don't think there is really an accurate means of saying just how accurate they are as the systems are intrinsically imperfect and are designed, created, monitored and calibrated by human beings.
Not to mention what the real strike zone is - I'm not sure there's 100% agreement on that, it can be a bit vague and the systems are calibrated to the perception of the designer as to what the zone is and I'm not sure that's being done 100% uniformly?
Also, environmental factors like wind, light, sunlight, temperature, electronics, etc., etc. can directly affect accuracy.
There are videos out there of egregious errors made by the robots much like those made by humans.
So, am I saying robot umps are no better than the human umps? No, not at all, just saying they are not 100% accurate and no matter how good the technology they never will be.

Isn’t this defined in the rule book? The easy thing to do would be program the official strike zone for each player into the MLB and MiLB data base, calibrate all the robo umps on that database, and make sure it’s up to date.
Fairly simple data management system

I’m against robot umpires, but I’m for having robot umpires in the ASG as no MLB umpire is All Star worthy.
