How low on the totem poll relative to same aged leagues is little league?

Little League has a much bigger global reach than any other league. To be honest, the little league tournament teams would probably beat similar Cal Ripken, Dixie youth and Pony Leagues. Some of the USSA teams would probably be better but they don’t have the same residency requirements.

Plus, the tournament trail is very difficult getting through the district, state and regional tournaments.

Just means travel ball season has ended and little league all star teams are stacked with travel ball ringers
Do LL teams play with one roster during the season, but add travel ball guys when travel ball ends? I remember Ruston's Dixie Youth all-star team was headed to some kind of tournament a few years back and had fundraisers for the trip. I figured if they had travel ball kids the parents could expect a big expenditure for this, and budget for it.

No. To be on a LL All Star team you have to play in the league during the regular season. Lots of leagues have travel ball kids show up and play in their leagues for their 12-year-old season to try and stack a team to get to Williamsport.

Which is why a lot of these leagues play Mon-Thur 10 game regular seasons. Kids can play rec league two games a week, and tournaments on the weekend. Come All Star time the team is then loaded up with tournament talent and competes against other tournament caliber teams. Easy to see the haves and have nots during the district matchups in the 'Majors' class for LL. These teams that made the state tournament steamroll through their districts. They don't all do it, but at the tournament this weekend several early games were mercy ruled. Happens in other leagues too. I've seen Pony teams that play together for rec and tournaments that are then a 'B' All Star team for the league, especially if that league is hosting the state or regional tournament, so they can stack the deck some to get two teams in.

AP Little League has a preview/tryout/showcase of the best X amount of kids in their leagues from 7-12. All the coaches get a vote that coached in their league. Both Head and Assistant Coaches. They take top 8-10 vote getters and the Coaches pick the last 2-4. The Coaches in the 12 year old division are not dads!

The fact that now every kid on the team gets to be in the batting lineup is ridiculous!

They’re kids

As long as the teams are kept to 11 or 12 at most it’s fine

Gonzales 12U made the DYB World Series and the AP team made the LL Regional tournament. Must be some good kids over there. Have those two teams played each other?

AP would dominate Gonzales. They have the best travel ball players. Gonzales finished second in their state. Dixie takes 2 teams to RUSTON for the World Series.

Ok. My question is whether they played each other. Your answer seems to be a guess about one beating another.

I know from Gonzales' gamechanger that they beat AP Prospects White 12-2, whoever that is. That is why I asked.

I think that is the parish 4th group of kids that they let play all stars. They have like 2 - 9 year old all star teams and 2 - 10 year old all star teams that compete to go to Little League state. This group plays in individual tournaments.
