Yay another thread of people claiming to abandon CFB but will continue to watch every game every year
Your types are bizarre.
I’m sure you never disagree with anything that you continue doing lol
So you love paying federal taxes? Yay another guy who hates taxes but will continue doing so every 2 weeks

I got downvoted a few months ago for saying there'd be a day where star players change schools after their team is out of playoff contention to join a winning team
Did you get downvoted because you were the tenth person to say it that day?

We'll take a couple offensive linemen for the National Championship game if they want to drop out and enroll in Ohio State over the weekend.

People bitch about the money but the thing that’s really potentially damaging to the sport is the portal. But it will take negotiations between the players and the schools to solve it, and that will piss off people who want something imposed on the players.

What is the NCAA saying with this statement?
the NCAA has been ruled to have no authority to prevent this by multiple judges

Where does the majority of NCAA Revenue come from? Isn’t it March madness as the college football conferences and championships aren’t affiliated with them?

All the NCAA had to do was label the players employees, allow schools to pay players and we would have avoided collectives, avoided all out free agency with non-competes, and retained some sense of stability.
However, because the NCAA represents so many damned institutions and only a few can actually make money on sports they had to move in the direction the majority of their constituents wanted

Exactly this

What’s keeping ND or OSU from going and grabbing a few more receivers or defenders from the currently not playing teams?

I agree with you. But, I think most of the major universities don't want athletes to be employees either.

College football has come full circle In the early 1900s players would play for different teams throughout the season. I’m assuming there were financial rewards for this.

At what point will they let them change teams in the middle of the season?
There will soon come a time when some guy players the first half with one team and the second half with the other.
Is a fukkin joke.

If you compare watching sports to paying taxes, I feel bad for you, son.

So a kid could have played for Indiana in the Fall then get beat by ND in the playoffs AND then resign from IU and enroll for the Spring Semester at ND and play for a national championship???
Crazy

What happens if a player gets suspended for a game and dresses out in another players number?
Has it ever happened before?
Has it ever happened before?

They still don’t have the courage to tell the truth and force the inevitable end. They are truly chickenshit and are going to ride the ship and crumbs all the way down.

That athletes are free human beings like any other human beings who can enroll in one university, stop, reverse course, drop out, wheel over to another university, enroll, etc. It's almost like the NCAA never really had any power to control student athletes in any real sense of that word ... ever.
It's almost like the NCAA has been operating on an illusion of power this entire time. frickING CRAZY shite MAN.

Oh no. They'd have to provide them health care benefits and shite. That would basically kill the thing for half of the programs out there.

Timeout.
You think these schools are not already providing “health care benefits and shite” for these athletes?
How stupid are you, exactly?
