If Jamarcus Russell can get drafted No.1 overall, i don't see whats to stop Andrew Luck with a power hosue team in the SEC.

I agree with RJF. If you put Luck on say a Kentucky, Miss St. or Ole Miss his stats would not be the same. He would be playing against SEC defense on a regular basis. He would be a good QB though but not that shite he doing against those weak arse teams.

There are 2 great defenses in the SEC this year.

and you don't get fooled by stats. Offense in the SEC are generally not as good, so that will skew the stats, by the same token, offenses tend to be better in the Pac 12.

Take Florida the "#10" defense. LSU hung 41 on them, LSU's offense is good, but certainly not so great that they could hang 41 on a "great" defense. Florida's D is ok, they have talent, but if JL/JJ and McCarron can torch them, then so would Luck.

but it's absurd to say that his stats wouldn't suffer at least some by playing in the SEC vs the PAC12

that sounds logical, but it doesn't work that way. Luck's stats last year are similar to Russell's stats at LSU in 2006. And lets not foreget Tebow was playing SEC D's and put up some sick numbers. Funny that OU, with a "crappy" Big 12 D held Florida to a lower point total than any SEC team.

Eli Manning drafted No.1. I think luck is way better than Eli.

and he put up good numbers.

For crying out loud, Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson are QBing an offense that has scored 35, 41, 38, 38 (7 was on pick 6) in 4 strait SEC games.

you do realize that not every SEC game is vs a national title contending defense right?

ETA: Here are Tebows stats from 2008, notice how he had 2 int in 8 SEC games, but 2 against a Big 12 defense from OU

Meh. They still have fewer SEC titles than Tulane, so they don't really count.

Oh brother, you obviously don't even watch

a) PAC 12 football
b) Andrew Luck

What stats? He's not pulling a David Klingler or Timmy Chang.

Stanford is a power running team. Luck's stats aren't anything special.

This idea that he is getting all this love because he's throwing for 600 yards a game in the PAC 12 just shows how there are SOME damn ignorant people in the SEC are.

Ricky is not on the 49ers.

not on active roster.

not on injury list.

not on 'taxi squad'.

As for Elway, he never beat Cal, in his 4 years. The band play was vs Elway.

It's one man's opinion about a QB that plays in a soft finess league vs a defensive oriented league. Don't get your panties in a wad. Onepeat.

Otto check your link again. He is listed as # 95. It's under J for Jean-Francois.

Doesn't matter what conference you play in. What does matter if the kids has the skills to be an NFL quarterback.

Montana
Unitis
Manning
Young
Brady?

I dunno, though Elway was pretty damn good.
