I don't think people ITT realize just how extraordinarily bad stafford's career teams have been. The guy has put up massive stats and even a few playoff appearances with a dog shite franchise and yall want to hold it against him he doesn't have more league MVPs or super bowl appearances? Do you hear yourselves?

Let Stafford play his entire career from drafting til now wiht the packers or the patriots and people would have already presented him with the HOF jacket already.

Preach

Edit: Cute downvote, retard.

Had x_______ been QB of the Patriots the past decade he would have more than 1 Super Bowl.

Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Carson Wentz(one year), Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Tony Romo, etc.

the year prior they had 3 Pro-bowlers including 2 at WR.

Stafford played with:

Calvin Johnson for 7 years: pro bowl 2010-2015
Ndamukong Suh for 5 years: pro bowl in 2010, 2013, and 2015
Golden Tate for 5 years: pro bowl in 2014
Glover Quin for 6 years: pro bowl in 2014
TJ Lang for 2 years: pro bowl in 2017
T.J. Hockenson for 3 years: pro bowl in 2020
Kenny Golladay for 4 years: pro bowl in 2020
Don Muhlbach for 12 years: pro bowl in 2012 and 2018
Darius Slay for 7 years: pro bowl in 2017-2019
Ezekiel Ansah for 7 years: pro bowl in 2015

In the early to mid 2010s, Stafford had plenty of pro-bowl talent, yet only managed two playoff appearances and zero wins. He managed to have a losing record 3 times from 2012-2016

Blaming it all on his supporting cast is weak IMO. Elite level QBs have done more with less, which is one of the things that makes those types of players elite. Elite QBs also make the players around them better. Do you think someone like Wes Welker makes 5 pro-bowls playing with anyone else?

I guess he’s not ok with Moon getting in. But he’ll never said that because you know.

In a few years, if Sherman isn't a first ballot HOFer, the article will be titled:

"Richard Sherman says HOF voters are racist"

frick all y'all.
If he'd been elsewhere than Detroit he probably has a couple super bowl wins.

like Aaron Rogers or even Peyton Manning at the same point in his career? Or Drew Brees? Or Dan Marino? I could go on. I think some people underestimate how hard it is to win a single super bowl, much less multiple super bowls. Stafford has struggled simply making the playoffs his entire career

How does any of Sherm's points apply to Moon? Moon has an all pro and led the NFL in yards twice, TDs once, and was OPOTY and 9x pro bowler. Stafford has 1 pro bowl and never led the league in anything other than attempts that one time.

but at the end of the day..who really gives a frick? It doesn't matter, its just cannon fodder for the debate shows.

having a strict hall of fame or letting basically anyone in that was pretty good doesn't really affect my life in any way.

Neither do sports in general that you are watching and not playing. But it’s fun to talk about.

If Stafford plays for the Steelers all career and Ben plays for the Lions his entire career, do they have the same career arcs? I think Stafford has a better career than Ben does for sure, he’a more talented

The leading home run hitter of all time isn’t in.

Nor is the all time hit leader

There’s stupid posts… then there’s this.

The lions had Jim Swartz, Jim Caldwell, and Matt Patricia as his coaches, and prob a new OC every third year. Swartz and Patricia were bums as head coaches and Caldwell wasn’t much better.

Look I’m not saying Stafford is the best, but he’s been a top 5 qb who’s been wasted in Detroit.

I'm actually surprised that Stafford doesn't have more All-pro nods, I mean he played with Megatron for goodness sakes.

I totally agree with him. Consider the fact that they just put Drew Pearson in the HOF. Dude was never among the elite WR's when he played.

He probably should have gone somewhere else then a lot earlier.

Yeah baseball does it right.

Proven PED user David Ortiz gets in even though he wasn’t nearly as good as Bonds or Clemons who are both still on the outside looking in.
