Revert back to former conference alignment

Ross Dellenger touched on this concept today on the mostly sports show. Interesting idea.
It boils down to revenue right so in theory could the BIG10 SEC ACC Big12 and Pac12 all get equal tv revenue deals then each gets auto qualifier bids for the mega CFP. 4 slots per conference AQ then 4 at large slots.
Put every team back to what it was in 2010 before the Big12 implosion began. So 12 teams across the board.
I don’t see any negatives here.

All the lawsuits from the forced relocations?

Nobody is filing a lawsuit if they are receiving equal revenue. Of course a freaking aggy fan would instantly think this.

A&M, Texas, OU, and Mizzou DONT WANT TO BE IN THE BIG 12
There's much more to it than football TV revenue.
On top of that you would be kicking out a bunch of other schools from the Big 12 and ACC who would all sue as well.
Use your damn brain.

So you’re gonna ask schools and conferences to give up some of their money for others? No fricking way.
I’d love it. The current setup sucks and is unsustainable… but it ain’t happening

Well we will keep OU & Texas… the other guys can just return to the big12. It makes more sense for everyone.

Why the hell would the SEC and Big 10 agree to equal TV revenue with the other conferences when the SEC and Big 10 rights are worth a lot more?
And why would the SEC and Big 10 agree to give 4 autobids to conferences like the ACC that have barely been able to produce 1 playoff worthy team over the past 5 years?

So what about UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, and all the schools that are in the zombie Pac-12 now? Do you think they will just be cool with getting kicked back to the underclass?

Yep exactly

No. Some of you are young and nieve. Until UF embarrassed OSU on national TV, the SEC was treated like a 3rd tier conference. I don't care if the rest of CFB goes away.

Fine either way me. Nebraska and OU could renew…. They should have never stopped playing. Hogs can come back also….

The 8 team playoff was good enough. Power 5 winners and three at large. That was too difficult apparently.

We are headed to a 30ish team football super conference that pays big bucks and is basically a minor league nfl league.
Hopefully every other college team and every other sport can go back to normal college amateur sports that aren’t only about money .
It’s the only way all this is sustainable and doesn’t kill smaller programs and all sports outside of football and (men’s)basketball.
