The NFL is adding to the future Super Bowl schedule. Daniel Kaplan of the SportsBusiness Journal reports the league is set to designate Arizona and New Orleans as the hosts of the 2023 and 2024 championships, respectively.

Kaplan notes the decision will happen Tuesday in a process that “does away” with the bid system used in the past.

Arizona hosted Super Bowl XLIV, where the New England Patriots edged the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 thanks to Malcolm Butler’s goal-line interception. Two years earlier in New Orleans, the Baltimore Ravens clipped the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.

The awarding also finalizes the Super Bowl schedule for the next six years. Prior to Arizona and New Orleans, Atlanta, Miami, Tampa and Los Angeles will host the NFL’s championship game.

Outdoor stadium that is just north enough and not New York.

Has Nashville or DC had a super bowl recently?

Why would people be butthurt? It looks like they are spreading it around a bit better than they have in the past.

As long as they keep it 10 years or so between years a specific venue hosts, them I'm good. It's when they host in places like Miami or Arizona twice in the span of 5 years where it gets annoying.

I'm sure people will make fun of New Orleans, but I wouldn't consider that "butthurt."

But I thought the superdome was too shitty to ever host one again? That's what the MSB told us.

Does that give NOLA time to get the electrical issues fixed so it's not the huge embarrassment as last time?
