Lebron James is a significantly better basketball player than Kobe Bryant, friend
You have to win a game 7 and all things are equal, same coaching, same bench.
Who is taking Lebron over Kobe? Seriously.
If you had to win one game 7 is anyone taking Lebron over Kobe?

Ah, so you're one of those "Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino" retards. Noted.

LeBron was awesome in Game 7s throughout his entire career. He never put up a 6/24 stinkbomb like Kobe did in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals when Pau Gasol bailed him out.
In six career Game 7s, Kobe averaged 22 points on 39% shooting. In eight career Game 7s, LeBron averaged 35 points on 49% shooting. What a retarded fricking take.

Yea? And how many did they win?
What a retarded fricking take, to think that total points scored is the only thing that matters.

It's as if winning is a team stat

I'll wager lebron had more assists and rebounds with comparable defense, without even looking.

Oh. Another "Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino" guy.
LeBron's teams went 6-2 in those games and haven't lost one since 2008, a game in which he scored 45 of the Cavs' 92 points.

Anyone who has watched both guys honestly is taking Lebron
It’s not even an opinion, it’s just the right decision

If Kobe didn’t die tragically he wouldn’t be in the GOAT conversation. Duncan and Shaq were both better players in that era.
Edit - and LeBron obviously. He’s kinda been in multiple eras

Kobe has a negative DBPM for his career. 10 seasons with a negative DBPM. Career best for a season of 1.6 compared to Lebron's career average of 1.7.
Career best VORP 8.0. Lebron career avg. 8.2; Jokic 10.5

Kobe was a fringe top 10 player all time and the when he passed away got elevated about 8 spots because of Lebron hate.

Larry Bird has to be mentioned in any of these conversations. He backed up his words on the court.
: Bird is the only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year, MVP, Finals MVP, and All-Star MVP in his career, and he is one of only three players to win three consecutive MVP awards.
Versatility: He was a dominant scorer, rebounder, and playmaker, with career averages of over 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. He was also an excellent three-point shooter and one of the first players to achieve the 50/40/90 club (50% field goal, 40% three-point, and 90% free throw shooting).
Intangibles: Bird is also praised for his mental game, competitive fire, and ability to perform in clutch situations, often playing through significant back pain. His court awareness was so advanced that many contemporaries described him as being able to "see the whole court" and anticipate plays before they happened.
Legacy: He is frequently mentioned in GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) discussions alongside players like Michael Jordan and LeBron James, with many former and current players, as well as analysts, recognizing his exceptional talent and impact on the game.

Kareem said Bird was the smartest player he ever faced.

Anyone who puts Kobe above Duncan or even Hakeem is just more interested in personality and mystique than results.
Same type that thinks Iverson is better than say John Stockton.

It’s a handy tool when not abused and Larry was a great basketball player. Look at YouTube videos of other great players talking about him, pretty funny stuff.

Lebron is 6-2 in game 7s. Kobe is 5-1 in game 7s.
Lebron averaged 35/10/6 in game 7s. Kobe averaged 22/8/5 in game 7s.
In 18 years, Lebron played in 292 playoff games with an average of 28/9/7 on 50/33/74 splits to go with 1.7 steals, 1 block, and 3.6 TO.
in 20 years, Kobe played in 220 playoff games with an average of 25.6/5/5 with 1.4 steals, .7 blocks, and 2.9 TO.
Lebron also has a higher playoff PER/eFG/TS%/WS per 48/VORP, and basically every other advanced statistic.
It's not remotely close who the better overall, playoff, and clutch performer was.
