Always loved K-State because of their underdog mentality and them always competing on the field. That’s one team you could never overlook even though you likely had more talent.
My grandfather player football at Clemson way back in the day. So long ago, when he transferred to Auburn, they were called API.
I was also a huge Peter Warrick fan growing up. He made watching Florida State fun.

Big East basketball teams in the 80s comes to mind for me. That league was was so fricking awesome. My favorite team was Syracuse followed by Villanova, St John's and Providence. I hated Georgetown so much

Dunno if any one team does it, but I always liked watching the last game of the Saturday night in the mid to late aughts and early 10s, which would often involve one of Hawaii, Nevada, or Washington. Late night winding down, high flying offenses, sometimes crazy finishes.

Michigan Football. I grew up hating Ohio State, so I kind of became a Michigan fan, as long as they weren’t playing LSU.

For me, it was Nebraska. Loved Tom Osborne, Turner Gill, Irving Fryar, to name a few. Obviously rooted against them whenever they played LSU in the Orange and Sugar Bowls.
