Damn hockey has no offseason. It feels like yesterday I was in the mob on Addison celebrating the Blackhawks winning the Cup.

I'm actually reasonably surprised only one writer picked the Pens in the Metro and one picked the Hawks in the Central. Not because I necessarily think they're favorites, but they both usually get a lot of love in the media, especially with the Pens adding Kessel. My preseason prediction is Ducks and the Lightning in the Cup finals.
The Hawks are going to be a bit of a wildcard depending on how well their young players step up and the voids are filled from the losses of Sharp, Saad, and Oduya. Assuming Kane is able to play the whole season, I think they finish about where they did last year, but will come up just short of getting back to the finals. Regardless, I'm just glad hockey is back

I'm glad, every year we get TONS of hype we choke, years we only get a bit of hype, good things tend to happen.
Granted, Vegas odds Pens are #6 best odds to win Cup, and only behind Rags at 5 and Bolts at 2 in East.

I was surprised the Hawks sent down Marko Dano. I know the trade was really for long-term, but figured he would contribute 3rd line minutes off the bat.

Honestly a lot of us were too, Q spoke highly of him in training camp. All indicators were that he would likely make the final team. There are going to be a lot of experimental line pairings this year, I imagine hell be called up at some point during the season, particularly if there are any injuries
