Better talent, especially along the Dline.

Nope! That isn't the same as the 5th down! The game against Colorado took a very long time for Mizzou to recover after the 5th down that gave Colorado a shot to be Champions. Then after the bowl game they were Co-Champions. Mizzou wasn't good but the coach and players gave up and no good players would come to Mizzou. That went on for a long time. That was icing it right there.

Will sound like a homer choice since it's an LSU message board, but after this game, LSU was never the same.

Les Literally let this game destroy him mentally for the rest of his tenure at LSU (and likely college football in general).

I’m convinced if Buffalo wins this, they don’t lose the next three. Hell, they may not even make the next three

frick them. They were charmin soft in the Dantoni era. Spurs would have found a way to beat them anyway.

Alabama was well defined as a program long before them. And certainly well defined as being head, shoulders and then some above LSU.

not really. alabama had one one championship since 1992 before that game. lsu had two.

Not sure which is worse, Chaminade or UMBC as the first team to lose to a 16 seed. At least they redeemed themselves the year after UMBC by winning it all the next year.

This thread is pretty awkward for a Bama fan to read.

We've got LSU, UGA, Texas, Michigan State on record with Tennessee and Auburn both having some complaints they arent ready to come forward with yet.

Feel like its a good time for some self-reflection here.

Georgia's trifecta against Alabama (2012 SECCG, 2017 NC, 2018 SECCG) has mentally mindfricked that team possibly beyond repair. Every time they play Alabama now, it is 14-0 before the game starts.

Speaking of Georgia

Just a friendly reminder to all that Georgia Tech(1990) has won a National Championship more recent than UGA.

LSU finally rid themselves of those demons

Michigan State

Bama didn’t ruin Michigan State. Sparty had peaked. Similarly to Washington, making the CFP was the high mark. Nobody expected MSU to win that game.

UGA, Texas

UGa for sure. Texas has had several self-inflicted wounds, but they will be back. When that is, who knows, but I don’t foresee them becoming A&M and laying dormant for 20 more years.

Tennessee ruined themselves. It’s not like there was a crippling blow from Bama. Hell, they can’t compete in their own division. UT’s last great chance was 2001. How did Bama ruin Auburn. Auburn is what they always are, an up and down program that will flash some huge seasons every now and then and manage to beat the Tide a few times a decade.

I will defend Miles until I take my last breath for this game. No team should have to beat On Bama twice to win the my NC. I believe they were the two best teams but if Bama would have beaten LSU the first game ,we don't get that mulligan Satan got

LSU would have beaten the shite out of Oklahoma State in the title game

Someone please explain to me how you figure lsu would have beaten Oklahoma state the night of 1 9 12?

Because the gameplay i saw from lsu that night makes me laugh. You wasnt beating ANYBODY that night and yall forget how explosive Oklahoma state was. Weeden would've thrown for a billion yards that night. Its a great question cause i would've like to see if texas couldve beaten bama had colt not got hurt. It would make a great thread. Which game would you like to see more. 2012 LSU vs Oklahoma state or 2010 Texas vs Bama with colt not going down?
