Honestly, if you’re that bothered by all of it, it’s not because of politics in sports.

It’s because it’s not your politics in sports.

I watch a ton of live sports and barely notice it.

If you wanna watch ESPN 24/7 good luck

I can tell you haven't watched a sporting event in a while. Please enlighten me on the last time they stopped in the middle of a game to put out a political statement.

When do you think politics and sports didn't run into each other?

Oh wait, you mean the political issues that you don't agree with and make you feel uncomfortable. Well then I have no suitable answer for you.

Jeff Van Dumbass and Mark Jackass were talking about Breonna Taylor during a game 7, 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter of a close game. Not during a timeout or stoppage of play, during the fricking game.

I can recall the announcers talking about political shite while watching MJ in the playoffs. oh wait, no i don't.

Part of that means that you’re not going to be critical of your own country, even when it’s necessary to do so.
It means putting the interests of your own country over the interests of other countries. I don't see how that is a bad thing.

Did you watch the NBA playoffs? The announcers talked about politics, and BLM was plastered on the court.

And the BLM on the court didn't really bother me. It's just another ad basically. But them not talking about the games and inserting their political beliefs into calling the games did.

It's not about "stopping games in the middle to talk politics," but it definitely happened/happens. And if you are arguing that it doesn't you are either pretending to not notice it or you're quite simply just wrong.

The best solution is to stop watching sports.
Or watch just the actual game and not give a shite what announcers say, and then watching the games is no different than it was 10 years ago.

That's what I do.

Is it really asking too much to watch a bunch of morons run around for a couple of hours without having to hear their dumb takes on voting laws and shootings 1,200 miles away?

Nah, I don't need to watch people disrespect the flag. I don't need messages on the back of jerseys or on the court. I don't need to hear color commentators talk about race and social justice during a game. If you can just watch the game, great, enjoy. I'm not going to support a product where the participants take an active position in opposition to my existence. Because make no mistake, the woke, BLM, SJW movement at it's core is a racist anti-white movement. I don't play race games, so I no longer watch most sports.

You have over 10,000 posts about something you don't watch?

Do you think his 10,000+ posts are all about sports? Even if they were, what does it matter? I fail to see how this is the gotcha that you believe it to be.

Does he just post in sports threads?
But also, he’s given up just recently (like myself)
I don’t even watch the NBA anymore, It’s a complete spit in my face

Look again, it was a question. Don't be in such a hurry to be offended.

Again, you're being stupid or intentionally obtuse (which is stupid too). His 10,000+ posts are not about sports, and I don't believe he said that he didn't care about sports in general. Someone can still care about something generally, but hate what it has become specifically (and act accordingly).

I don't know. Maybe you're just stupid. I'm sorry.

And you just felt compelled he needed a mouthpiece to clarify the moment before he could speak for himself. After 10,000 posts?

No, it was a declarative statement as written, with a touch of sarcasm in it. If you had started it with "Do you...", it would have been a proper question. And why would you think I was offended? Nothing I replied with indicated offense was taken. And still, I don't have 10,000 posts about something I don't watch. What was the point of your poor question? Feel free to clarify.
