Pittsburgh doesn’t deserve a MLB team

Worst fans in baseball
Playing the Astros (a perennial playoff team) and Paul Skenes pitching and the attendance is 15,000
I guarantee New Orleans would support that team better
Everyone saying the Marlins should move (and they should), but Pittsburgh does too.

But probably not

You expect a 2:15 game on a Tuesday featuring a team that is 17 games under .500 to have a big crowd?
FWIW, Pirates-Reds wild card during McCutchin’s prime might be the single best baseball crowd I’ve ever watched on TV

15,000 in the middle of the week during work hours for 1 game out of 162 sounds good to me
No shot Nola would get those numbers man. Pelicans don’t get that freaking number during a prime time night game and they play half as many games

You're delusional

Yep but MLB has a bigger issue. Their marketing team as a whole is embarrassing. I love baseball but they just don’t promote it enough and they don’t get out to the average fan.

Pittsburgh is an incredible baseball town. People don't realize that even with the Steelers winning Superbowls, the Pirates were still more popular until the late 90's when they went on the 21 year losing streak.
How much abuse do you expect the fans to take? The only way to hurt the ownership, is to stop showing up.
To be clear this isn't a fan support problem with the Pirates. It's an ownership problem.

The game started at 6:45. 15K is pathetic

I’m a dumbass. I was reading the length of the game AKA Game Time
Point stands. If Skenes was in Miami or Denver, he’d be playing in front of crowds smaller than his college days

pirates ownership has been arse for a long while now
The highest payroll ranking they've had in the last 23 years is 20th.
Their ownership doesn't deserve people in the stands

Poor baseball demographics aside, what gives you any reason to think they’d draw a fourth of Pitt attendance?
