And they said Jimmy Dunne.
They are also saying that Trump called it….giving him credit.

In a company the financing side can make it a pain in your arse, but those with the board votes is the power
"The more significant element of the merger concerns its financial structure. Per the press release, PIF "will make a capital investment into the new entity to facilitate its growth and success." Further down in the release is this more significant element: "PIF will initially be the exclusive investor in the new entity, alongside the PGA TOUR, LIV Golf and the DP World Tour. Going forward, PIF will have the exclusive right to further invest in the new entity, including a right of first refusal on any capital that may be invested in the new entity, including into the PGA TOUR, LIV Golf and DP World Tour (emphasis added)." In other words, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund will provide the seed money for the new operation, will be the only investor, and will have the right to invest — and refuse outside investment — in the PGA Tour itself.
LIV has got one hell of a piece of the PGA pie going forward. They will have a significant role in shaping the future.

This deal is going to get massive regulatory scrutiny. This is going to take months to years to get finalized and every detail is going to be scruitinized. This is the first pitch of the first inning. It could be killed off before it ever gets off the ground.

The Boys just said the LIV players probably got 30-50% of the money. Not 100%.
The PGA players (non LIV) will be getting loyalty payments to even out the money, LIV players will not be eligible to receive.

no one knows what the exact rules are going to be

And the interesting part will be whether they can further dilute the shares of the PGA and DP by flooding it with money.

What are your issues with liv then? You have the floor
My issue is... The LIV was just a smoke screen. No one could possibly imagine that Pat Perez's value was 20 million
The numbers were absurd so absurd that it wasn't about a golf it was national wealth against corporate sponsorship...so why...image and politics? Then some LIV players crapping on PGA because trillionaires payed them?

Who are these PGA players? Do you mean more of the elite millionaires that only get invited now to the "elevated events"? And only the elite millionaires that get invited to the FedEx-cup Playoff? And the only elite players who won't have to worry about being cut in next year's tourneys?
Yes, it just means the rich get richer. So business as usual.

Correct. They make the call exclusively. And money is what the LIV guys won't run out of. The PGA is going international as soon as January and they are going to have to like it. Just as sure as the Chairman of the PGA Board is Saudi.

I am wondering if this is going to fall apart
The fact a 501c non-profit is investing/partnering in a for profit venture is out of my pay grade. I assume that their income (whether its LIV cash, event income, or sponsor income) has to be distributed to charitable groups as a specified percentage of the whole.

Yea not sure on Reed
DJ, Cam Smith, Brooks will all be back. That covers everyone I’m concerned with.

PGA totally screwed over their loyal members while the LIV players got bank. This is so awesome.
What sort of mindset leads one to think the people who tried to do the right thing getting screwed is "so awesome"? You're a bitch.

So people think all LIV players will be allowed back except Patrick Reed.
Patrick Reed and any other "disliked" LIV golfer is just not allowed to play high-level professional golf anymore?
There is no chance players will be allowed back on a case-by-case basis.

Something triggered it. The obvious from the LIV position would be the players had some huge payments coming due. Then again, the Saudis could literally pay that with a few nano seconds of accumulated interest on their wealth.
That leaves the PGA. I tend to think Koepka winning the last Major and the US Open starting next week, they didn't want another LIV player winning and further weakening their leverage/brand. They approach LIV and its a no-brainer for them as again, its not about cash investment, its about a foothold in the sport regardless the cost.
