It is a fricking stupid rule but it is a rule.
How is it a stupid rule?
Teams agreed not to go to each others games and use electronic means to record signals in order to “steal” them. It’s ok for people to decide something is against the spirit of fair competition.
Now, in game using no electronic means, all bets are off.

Have we named one "Tapegate" yet?
If not, here it is.

I fricking love this.
You Buckeye fans will love this until Michigan crushes Ohio State for the third year in a row and wins a national title.
No one will give a crap that it was "vacated."

Does the casual fan even care about this?

Depends if you work for the University of Michigan or not. If you, that’s breaking the rule. If you don’t, nobody cares.

are you kidding? michigan beats ohio state twice in a row and forever it can just be pointed out that michigan was blatantly cheating?
this is literal gold in a rivalry.

I was wondering why Michigan was decent the past 3 years...It all makes since now!!!

I think the majority of college football is enjoying this actually

Holy frick. Michigan has won 2 consecutive years. You act like you were Ohio State dominating the last 2 decades of the rivalry.
And my enjoyment of this has nothing to do with recent game results. It has everything to do with watching a fanbase that has continually sat on their pedestal of pretentiousness and morality get a dose of reality and try to spinzone out of it.
Christ, the Michigan fanbase acted like Tressel committed mass murder when all he did was not report his players selling their own personal belongings. So yeah, I’m going to love the shite out of this as more and more details come out.

And this makes this entire situation even funnier. Considering he made those comments in a team meeting immediately after Harbaugh claimed Ohio State was cheating and having illegal practices in a Big Ten coaches call during the COVID 2020 debacle.
And now all the conspiracies that Day started this are a chef’s kiss.

And Harbaugh will go to the playoff and then leave to the NFL if there are any real penalties and the Michigan will be punished for his actions.

Just so I’m clear here.
You would have people believe that Michigan was able to stop CJ stroud two consecutive years in the second half but neither UGA, who has way more talent, nor NFL defenses who spend hundreds of hours studying qbs and it is their job to do so, can’t?

I get that it's a rule that was broken, but what is the competitive advantage gained?
I’m not sure the extent, but clearly Michigan thought it was worthwhile.

Georgia playing like warmed over dogshit doesn't have anything to do with Michigan.

UGA struggles with elite passing offenses, especially with elite WR’s. Look at what LSU did in the second half of the SEC title game. As much as UGA fans like to crow about garbage time and score board (score board is 100% accurate, we got smashed), they still had starters in and Nuss lit them up with passes deep to Boutte, Nabers, and Thomas.
With all that said, Michigan is a cheating program and hasn’t won a title in nearly 30 years.
