That is still such a ridiculous amount of cash between 2 of the most talentless, easily replaceable anchors ESPN has ever signed in my lifetime. Even more so that it used to be the premiere sports highlight and analyis show. Even with all of the wokeness that show would have been tolerable if they covered highlights but they choose to cover what the NBA players were tweeting instead of riding their cash cow to glory.

I think you mean $7.5 million. But still, what she did on that show with Smith was EXACTLY what she was hired to do. ESPN knew exactly what they were doing when they aired that show. It just backfired on them and they lost even more viewers than they already were.
I hate JH with a passion, and think she's a terrible person. But blame the idiots at ESPN more than her for that God-awful show.

Especially since they are notorious for underpaying their top level talent because they have the mantra the ESPN brand is bigger than individual personalities.
Yet, they willingly overpaid a handful of “personalities” that garnered low ratings and had virtually no competition.
Meanwhile, they’ve eliminated veteran anchors, reporters, and contributors over the last several years.

Just thankful that they got fired several yrs ago. Were they still on the air today they would be ESPN super stars & on every ABC - owned channel, headliner reporters on USA.
