Yeah but have you guys ever heard of one game a year (may or may not be a big game) where everybody wears white shirts??? (Not the players though they still wear navy)

And we lost NSD drama in February (like when a 17 year old in south GA chose UGA over UF and his guardian was pissed and disappeared with his LOI for a couple of days).

There is no correlation between recruiting rankings and success

Well data says otherwise.

quote:

The data analysis showed that recruiting ranking data plays a very important role in explaining the success of college football teams. The 247Sports ratings are good predictors of the final Sagarin ratings. The results indicated that up to 36 percent of the total variation in the Sagarin ratings was explained by the recruiting rankings. This indicated that the effort and expense of football recruiting is important to the health of the football program both in terms of wins and finances. Our results showed significance for each recruiting class in a given season, except the senior class which is likely explained, at least in part, by early entry into the NFL draft.

u think thats bad, the troll job by BYU's biggest booster is classic

penn st tried to hire byu coach, and this booster stepped up, so he sent penn st AD office some crumble cookies as a sorry gift.

has delivery notice, and some one went by and took a pic of the cookie box on their door stop.

Don’t know if this is actually true, but even still, Jimmy sexton is the worst motherfricker in sports. Very few people have caused more bullshite then that fat frick.

Their star safety #104 overall just flipped from Penn State to WVU.

Am I the only one who think that BK would be a good hire for them?

It would look bad first since they fired their version of BK only to hire BK but he would certainly stabilize things and leave them better off.

And the Penn State salary would offset most or all of the buyout payments LSU has to make to BK

If they hire Terry Smith, who has zero coaching experience outside of year at Temple as WR coach 13 years ago, they swung and missed and missed...

I saw Terry Smith as a member of the Shreveport Pirates play against the Baltimore Colts.

Penn State is about to enter the dark ages. Their days of being a top tier team is over. They're going to become the new Nebraska.

Good lord dude. Really?

Recruiting absolutely correlates to success in football. Have you ever heard of the blue chip ratio?

BK would have been a good hire before he got lazy with LSU money. I think he’s toxic now. No incentive to even take a job, much less work hard. If he wanted to win a NC, he had a better shot at LSU.

Read this morning the AD essentially has today to make the hire and if nothing gets done they will promote smith tomorrow and the AD is out.

I just don’t understand how you were first in line, and whiffed on everyone. They couldn’t possibly believe deboer would leave Alabama for Penn state.
