By almost every defensive metric, he is the best defensive player, not only at his position, but in all of baseball.
He hit over 30 and stole over 30 last year at 23 and has already done it again this year at the age of 24....that's right....24, and there are over 30 games left in the season.
And he's improved his walk rate three-fold over last year - his WAR is best in baseball this year even if you figure your boys pitching in the mix.
I didn't say he was the best - but I said he is actually very close to it because he is - whether you like it or not.

I'm a diehard Cubs fan and while he's having a good season I still think the Cubs and our fans will regret this contract. Just a feeling I have.
Would be nice to continue getting pitching back to make a legit run at an NLCS appearance.
