Patrick Willis or Luke Kuechly?

Watching the HOF induction and I forgot how short Kuechly's career was. He and Willis both played 8 seasons, both HOFers. If you're starting a team, who do you pick first in their prime?

Willis is the best LB of this century.
A notch above Ray Lewis only because of Willis ability in coverage.
Edit: No disrespect to Kuechly. Dude was an animal and very very intelligent.

Kuechly was a problem. Guy was mild mannered off the field, but an absolute animal when he was suited up. Like a switch flipped, and he was there to inflict pain.
Not a Panthers fan, but always respected Kuechly.

I didn't see Kuechly in college but when Willis was a Senior, seemed like he was always the best player on the field, regardless the opponent

I have great respect for both. Kuechly was the Honey Badger of NFL linebackers. Incredible nose for the football and always came up with the turnover. However.... Willis was the guy that could always stop the 3rd and inches run up the middle and could step up into the whole and meet a running back full force. Toss up?

Willis is one of the biggest freaks to ever play the position. 4.4 type guy at 230 lbs, would excel in any era.

Willis was the physical prototype.
Luke was the Peyton Manning of defense who leaned on the film/cerebral part of the game and knew what was happening before the snap most times.
Can't go wrong with either. I would probably lean Kuechly because he has a DPOY while Willis doesnt, with everything else pretty much being equal.
